  1. Leaked Photos: New rubber colours on blades!

The whole "black rubber is harder than red rubber" is a myth outside of the Chinese rubbers. From experience of Butterfly and Tibhar, the red and black rubbers perform identical.
  2. Leaked Photos: New rubber colours on blades!

It looks like those photos are designed to make the rubbers seem more bright than they actually are. Look at the green next to the purple in the first pic - It's a much darker green than the next picture, which seems to have been positioned to catch the reflection...... I don't like any of the...
  3. Table Tennis has turned into an expensive commercialised crap

The wand choses the wizard....... ;)
  4. Table Tennis has turned into an expensive commercialised crap

It's hard to tell if the OP wants these things so they can use it themselves, or if it's because they want to watch the pro's use this stuff and have longer rallies etc..... If it's so you can use it yourself - You can already buy cheap, medium speed blades and rubbers. If you want the pros to...
  5. Table Tennis has turned into an expensive commercialised crap

1st thought..... Watch Ping Pong. I know you've mentioned it, but it sounds like you want a sport which is absolutely perfect for what YOU want to see. 2nd thought is similar to Lula. The equipment isn't all that different. The forums make such a big deal of different rubbers and blades etc...
  6. May World Rankings 2019

There is definitely a "minimum required" to work out just who is the best, but in a perfect world, it would be somewhere in the middle. If a TT player plays 50 games and wins 45 of them, does that make him better than someone who wins 44 out of 44? Probably not....... But I agree, you can't...
  7. May World Rankings 2019

Ranking systems are never 100% accurate. When Goran Ivanisevic won Wimbledon, did that make him the best player in the world? When Leicester won the Premier League, did that make them the best team in the world (slightly different argument, as that was over an entire season rather than 1...
  8. Harimoto InnerForce ALC Review

I guess it’ll be hard to know for sure. Just, the fact that my blade is 91g, I’d have thought his would be heavier, considering his rubbers will be much lighter than mine, and his overall set up is only 7grams lighter.
  9. Harimoto InnerForce ALC Review

I’d have thought it was much heavier than that. Mine is 91g and 190g with T05H and T05 - Both Max. T05H is already 7 grams heavier than T05, so if he had max sponge, his blade would be around the 91g mark. If he has 1.7mm sponge, I’d guess his blade was 95g at least?
  10. Harimoto InnerForce ALC Review

05 Hard is around 7 grams heavier, so that would make sense. Do you know what your blade is on it’s own?
  11. World Table Tennis Championships 2019

Not sure if this has been said, but the lack of what I’d call “traditional” sportsmanship is severely lacking in the professional ranks. The crap handshakes, the celebrating with coaches before shaking the hand of the other player, it all seems just a little off to me. I thought it was a...
  12. Shoes

I'd be very surprised if the pros were using shoes that weren't the models you can buy in the shop. Any custom fitting will come from the in soles I imagine. I used to use Butterfly shoes, back when ASICS made the sole - But since that's stopped, and the Butterfly price has increased, I've...
  13. Harimoto InnerForce ALC Review

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that Tees Sport have NO idea about the "ratings" - Heck - They gave it a 7.5 for control, despite never having even held it, and all of this, despite giving the Innerforce ALC a control rating of 9! haha. I like Tees Sport, but I find they rate things on...
  14. World Table Tennis Championships 2019

Harimoto just scrapped the second 14-12 to go 2-0 up. Tough first 2 sets so far!
  15. World Table Tennis Championships 2019

Is there a schedule as to who is playing on what table?
  16. Harimoto InnerForce ALC Review

I noticed Adriana Diaz is now using the Harimoto ALC. I wonder if it's just the handle or the actual blade...... And if Butterfly are hoping to exploit a the US/South American market with it?
  17. Harimoto InnerForce ALC Review

Hi dkyy, I used T05 Hard on the FH and T05 on the BH.
  18. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

Perhaps I’m not explaining myself clearly enough, so apologies if it isn’t coming through. Im talking about raw material value. Not market value. The raw material value of an expensive watch is more than the raw material value of a cheap Chinese watch, despite them functioning the same (in...
  19. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

Its not MY fallacy, as I don’t determine the worth of things. If if you are simply stating that things like Steel and Gold should be the same price because they are both hard metals..... I’m afraid that’s not how things work. A watch that that has cost £5,000 in raw materials to build, is...
  20. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

I'm not saying it tells the time better - I'm saying it's worth more due to the way it's built, who it's built by and the materials that are used. Ironically, the cheap watch is probably more accurate due to the tolerances with expensive automatic watches lol. The same can't be shown for...
