  1. Yasaka Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard rubbers

Yeah TT11, the acoustic inner was ordered on a Monday, I asked for the lightest one they had in stock, 88gr arrived on Thursday, pretty good service!! The week before I ordered 2 sheets of Rakza Z, 1 sheet of Acuda blue P2 & 1 sheet of Acuda S2 on the Sunday it arrived on Tuesday!! Even better...
  2. Yasaka Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard rubbers

Only Rakza Z, it’s typical, 2 weeks ago I bought an acoustic inner and 2 sheets Rakza Z. last week the acoustic inner was on special! €40 off, now this week it’s Rakza Z about €9 off per sheet I could have saved about €60!!!!!
  3. Yasaka Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard rubbers

    €29 for me.
  4. San Francisco looking for training partner.

Good video, nice to know the H3Neo sponge coating is glue!! there’s a couple of schools of thought on whether to either boost directly onto the sponge or to apply a layer of glue to give some protection to the sponge. H3N provincial rubbers I’ve boosted, I left the factory glue on and boosted...
  5. San Francisco looking for training partner.

Hi Yogi, which viscosity revo glue do you use? peels off of the harder (dense small pore) sponges very easily and doesn’t really leave much residue on the blade at all. some of the harder ‘cake’ sponges pose more of a problem, they are definitely more fragile because of the larger bubble...
  6. Yasaka Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard rubbers

Just had a quick look through the chart, very interesting !! A lot of the readings for BTY rubbers are very close or the same as their publicised sponge hardnesses, so sponge hardness = top sheet hardness. ( not always the case, but this sort of jumped out at me!) So are BTY reading sponge and...
  7. Yasaka Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard rubbers

As Yogi mentioned the top sheet is generally forgotten, this is at least as important as sponge hardness for the overall ‘feel’ of the rubber (sponge + top sheet).
  8. Yasaka Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard rubbers

Not sure!! I’ll end up giving it a go one day!! If EH Z is softer then it may well suit the sort of feel I like, Yogi reckons it a couple of notches faster than the std Z, this could be the attribute that may not suit me as well!!
  9. Handle, Wings and Grip

Nittaku have their LG handle option on some of their blades, this is a nice option to have!! I have 2 Acoustic blades with the large handle, but there is still some manufacturing tolerances, 1 is slightly thinner than the other, by a small margin, but was still noticeable!! Did it make any...
  10. Yasaka Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard rubbers

When I’ve boosted H3Neo and Battle 2 (Chinese rubbers only) etc I have used Falco Long Term, and Seamoon. Both are good, maybe Seamoon has stronger results but you have to boost more often. Personally I prefer Rakza Z over D09C, not necessarily because it’s a better rubber, I just like it more...
  11. Yasaka Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard rubbers

Having now tried Rakza Z, GT, GTPS, (un-boosted), various H3 N’s, various Battle 2’s (boosted & un-boosted) D09C, H8 (un-boosted). personally, I think that Rakza Z feels the best, (so far!!) it has good tackiness, good speed, not too much catapult effect and great spin. boosted Chinese rubbers...
  12. Welcome to TableTennisDaily 2.0 - Bug Report

Google, and iPad, when I hit reply to TTD's post, cursor automatically when to start position. Sometimes, the cursor moves to start position, but then a broken red line appears with a tag, which says something like 'start post reply to left' , you hit tag and then you can post reply!! It seems...
  13. changing H3 NEO 37/ 2.15 to H3 NEO 40/2.15...........

Hi Latej, I'd choose the 37 degree hardness H3Neo for BH, but definitely boosted!! Un-boosted still plays well but not a fast, feels slightly harder. The only Tenergy rubber I've used is T80FX and even though the sponge is relatively soft, I didn't like the bouncy spring sponge!! Found it...
  14. Seeking OFF inner carbon blade with good feel / control

Nittaku Acoustic Inner is a very nice blade, has excellent feeling and enough speed.
  15. Welcome to TableTennisDaily 2.0 - Bug Report

Hi, just tried to post a reply, clicked on the 'reply to Latej's post' tag, entered my reply below Latej's post, (as previously have done without issue) clicked 'submit reply' Error message came up ' you have not entered enough letters' (or similar) a 'heading' box also appeared!! anyway I...
  16. changing H3 NEO 37/ 2.15 to H3 NEO 40/2.15...........

Hi Latej, At present my preferred BH rubber is Rakza Z or R48, probably Rakza Z over R48, but I'd be more than happy to use either!! I use both of these in 2.0mm not max sponge thickness. The R48 seems a little faster, feels slightly harder, even though the sponge is softer!! Strange, but...
  17. Rubber for nittaku acoustic

Another good exercise, one you can do at home as well, is to use an empty plastic bottle, medium sized, remove lid, stand bottle on the edge of a table and place a ball on the top of the bottle. then you just set yourself up for a FH top spin stroke and try and hit the ball without the bottle...
  18. changing H3 NEO 37/ 2.15 to H3 NEO 40/2.15...........

I suppose it's horses for courses to a certain extent!! I quite liked the 37 degree H3 Neo Provincial on my BH, especially when boosted. The Neo sponge may play differently to the std H3 37 sponge. I have tried std H3 40 degree boosted, and this played well on both BH & FH. After boosting, the...
  19. victas koji matsushita special vs stiga defensive pro

Hi penholding, apologies, I have only played with the Def Pro, both are 5+2 ply blades, there's a difference in the types of wood plies being used. But I really can't comment on the 'playing' differences between these 2 blades!! At one point I considered getting a VKMS but went for the the Stiga...
  20. Thoughts on my future racket, any tips or recommendations?

Another blade choice could be the Donic Persson Exclusive off 5 ply, around €22, As the others have said there's a big difference between the tacky Chinese rubbers and the tensor rubbers. I have used a couple of tensor type rubbers with 50 degree sponge hardness and these can be quite...
