  1. How do you coach players that have limited strokes?

The patience and willingness to endure some losses is the tough thing. If you take some coaching lessons on technique, try it once in a match, lose and revert back to the old style it won't work.
  2. How do you coach players that have limited strokes?

First you have to find out whether they want to get better. Many players are fine with having a limited, low level play and really there is nothing wrong with that, whether your level is 1000 or 1700, you won't make any money with your game so if you enjoy being a "hack" that is perfectly fine...
  3. How is the women's game different from men?

I also read a report that annett kaufmann also scores very high on spin measurements. However I think on average women hit flatter. We see that in tennis too. This is kinda logical when you think about it. Spin and speed is a zero sum game, batspeed of the player is either going into...
  4. Why Table Tennis is such a pure, unique 1-of-1 sport

It is true that size and muscular strength is not needed so much but the top guys still have insane agility and reflexes that are also natural physical talent. That being said it is true that tt is a skill sport where you can reach a very high level even with mediocre physical skills. For...
  5. Fancy blades are just not worth it

The best way to save money is to stop EJing. Even a 50 bucks setup is expensive when you try a new one every month. Most high level players very rarely change their setup, they pick something and stick with it for a long time.
  6. Fancy blades are just not worth it

I'm not using an expensive blade either but when you are not EJing table tennis isn't that expensive anyway compared to other leisure activities. So when you want to buy a 200 dollar butterfly and play it for 5 years it really isn't that expensive. On the other hand when you try a new setup...
  7. “Sealing effects performance”…. Is there any proof?

Also sealing is not always the same. Some put on some stuff, let in soak in for a minute and then wipe of the excess so that it basically just fills the holes between the fibres. Others put on 3 thick layers of lacquer.
  8. Skyline TG2 Alternatives

Is it true that dhs made New hurricane and skyline less tacky? Why is that? Those rubbers where super successful and popular for more than a decade.
  9. San Francisco looking for training partner.

I respect your level as a player, you are certainly very good but there are plenty of world class players who play with "ESN junk". Or do you think that darko jorgic or quadri Aruna where held back by ESN and would have beaten FZD or ML with better equipment:)?
  10. Paralympic games in paris

In case somebody watches it, German TV is showing wheelchair table tennis
  11. Best way to return short serves?

I think it depends. If you are very good at counter Looping it might be best if you Flick it. But if you prefer to hit a forehand loop first in the rally it might be good to push back short and get a longer push that you can attack. Or against some players you maybe can push long if they...
  12. Should you curl fingers at back of bat when using jpen/Japanese penhold RPB??

Yeah I have seen those hybrid blades with a round head and cork handle. I used to play with a cork mounted to a cpen too, wasn't bad. Does this work with classic jpen shape too? To me playing jpen now is almost like driving a vintage car or fishing a bamboo fly rod. You can have solid...
  13. Should you curl fingers at back of bat when using jpen/Japanese penhold RPB??

Do you have a hybrid bat that allows for rpb? Traditional jpen blades don't work for rpb, right?
  14. Heard about this lately.... SYS vs CM

I would not speculate that matches are fixed but I can see that a young star has more future earning potential than a player who is nearing the end of their career like Chen meng. The only exception to that where you definitely want the old guy to win is when some kind of all time record is...
  15. Yao Jinxiang: Invader? More Japanese youths think Japan is a "victim"

Right wing conspiracy theories are on the rise in countries all over the World.
  16. Primorac Carbon or similar with rakza 7/X soft rubbers

I would say if you need to slow down a primorac carbon you are probably not ready to play it.
  17. Do Professional players apply their rubbers?

    1. Money Tennis stars are multi millionaires and can afford to pay a stringer. Most table tennis players don't earn that well. Stars like boll or ma long earn good money but nowhere near what tennis players make. Many lower level tennis players up to the semi pro level will string themselves...
  18. My opinion about Fextra 7 👎

I have a fextra too and I don't love it either. I prefer my YSE I guess it has to do with your playing style. If you like to Block and smash and occasionally loop you might like it more than a guy who hits a lot of slow loops.
  19. Paris Olympic Games 2024

If Fan wins olympics he needs to send a present to Truls:)
  20. Reverse Pendelum Serve vs Hook Serve

I prefer hook serve. Reverse pendulum might create higher spin and better disguise though, but not sure.
