  1. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 Power Review: Not What I Expected

Nice to hear man, so basically you enjoyed it on the forehand more (but can it replace a well boosted H3N is the question haha), but landed more shots on the BH with the 37 8-80, which is similar to what I experienced :) Are you gonna keep the Power on any blade or more like it was fun but it...
  2. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 Power Review: Not What I Expected

Yep this is my same feeling as well :) And indeed is quite heavy so that may put some players off.
  3. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 Power Review: Not What I Expected

Also pretty low like H8, it doesn't change radically. That's the main thing that is nice about H8 on FH but BH is a tough one to play with :D
  4. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 Power Review: Not What I Expected

Ah great info, this makes sense indeed, and then I do think, is it really a good BH rubber if the throw is so low, dwell is short, and hardness is on the higher side? That's why I wonder for who this rubber is for haha Maybe for advanced players who like hurricane 8 on their BH but want a bit...
  5. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 Power Review: Not What I Expected

Now this is surprising, on what blade did you tested it? On my WCQ it feels considerably faster than the normal 8-80 at full swing :) Also interesting to hear about Moon 12, I have not tried Moon 12 so much that I can say here, but then indeed, for the price of moon 12 better just do that haha...
  6. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 Power Review: Not What I Expected

Thanks for sharing again :) And yeah, it feels more like a forehand rubber to me as well, there it was fineish, kinda like a Hurricane 8 boosted with a slightly softer feel. And indeed its fast haha When you do the backhand testing let me know, I suspect you may not like it as much haha
  7. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 Power Review: Not What I Expected

Agreed on that!! I ll do a review of it soon, I guess of you are on a budget and look for a controlled chinese hybrid then is not bad :)
  8. help me to choose my backhand rubber, NUZN 45 or Thibar MK FX ?

Same experience for me, on the backhand it feels very good, forehand a bit too soft and high throwing but it counterloops really nicely, I was surprised about this :)
  9. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 Power Review: Not What I Expected

Thanks so much for sharing @jk1980 !!! Very interesting indeed. And how about your own personal feeling? What your hand and brain were telling you as you hit those balls? Also, do let us know about actual gameplay! I really struggled with the 8-80 power on the backhand opening loops for example!
  10. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 Power Review: Not What I Expected

Yep agreed, LAC is 40 degrees but not on the ESN scale :) And yes mine too, I found LAC almost impossible to play without boosting, same for you @belllfador ?
  11. Yasaka Rakza Z Review: Still a good hybrid rubber in 2026?

Yes! So far im enjoying Nuzn 48, more on my BH than FH but it can fit fine on FH as well, a pleasant surprise and Im not one for tensors ;) Haha youve tested a bunch already though! Nice, G1/C1 is a great combi too. How are you experiencing your Nuzn 48? enjoying it more than G1 for example...
  12. Yasaka Rakza Z Review: Still a good hybrid rubber in 2026?

Yes this is what most people say in their reviews as well, looking forward to experiencing it first hand!
  13. Yasaka Rakza Z Review: Still a good hybrid rubber in 2026?

Yep Im testing Nuzn 48 now and will review soon, its indeed a tensor with some hybrid properties, but definitely closer to a tensor :) I think razka Z yes, but I have only tried Vega China once, I have it at home waiting to be tested in depth!
  14. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 Power Review: Not What I Expected

40 ESN? thats very odd indeed, mine feels much harder than my nuzn 45 haha LAC is 40 on the Loki scale yes, but on the shore A chinese scale, odd all of it if the degrees are in ESN. I have the normal LAC and removed it the other day to boost it (plays so much better boosted) and went fine! But...
  15. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 Power Review: Not What I Expected

Cool makes sense let me know how it goes! :)
  16. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 Power Review: Not What I Expected

Because it already has a very low dwell time and enough speed, boosting does soften the sponge after the tension effect is gone but it will be hard to play initially. I also boosted the normal 8-80 and did not like the feeling, you can try though and experience it for yourself, maybe you like it!
  17. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 Power Review: Not What I Expected

Ah damn sorry to hear that! Try it out though, perhaps you love it, maybe your style fits it better! :) And indeed on the commercial version of the Q968, the normal DHS WCQ but also on the Loki Kirin K6. Big dipper V Im testing it now too as well, will review it soonish, Im enyoing it as well...
  18. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 Power Review: Not What I Expected

Ah nice very good! I'm curious how you will experience it @jk1980 , planning to play on it on the FH I guess? Because you mentioned EH :)
  19. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 Power Review: Not What I Expected

I really like the DHS Hurricane 8-80 on my backhand, and since I did the review of it a couple weeks ago, many people had asked me about the new Nittaku 8-80 Power version. I had not tried it before and I couldn't let it go, so got a sheet all the way from Tokyo haha I was quite excited about...
