  1. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Notn Not sure why you're confused. I've come to understand that the main purpose of this forum is to find unboosted alternatives to boosted H3, preferably as cheap as possible. Forum traffic peaked last year with Jupiter 3 and it is doing so again with the LAC craze of 2023.

Are your conclusions about LAC assuming that it has poor durability and will bubble relatively quickly? If it turns out the 41d is relatively durable and withstands boosting, would that change your opinion and put it in contention as your bang-for-buck rubber? BTW, appreciate the clear and...
  3. "wrapping" the ball.

Yes the dwell time is minimal and makes the technique very difficult to perform unless a tacky and hard-sponged rubber is used. There's a good video about this specific 'crush and brush' technique on the WRM Youtube channel featuring Coach Meng (a former Chinese player). No explanation is given...

I've played about 7 hours of Loki Rxton 3 Blue. Tackiness wise, It's not very tacky at all for a 'semi-tacky' rubber. On a scale of stickiness, I'd go Rxton 3 Blue < Rxton 5 < Battle 2 < Mercury 2. It took a while for the sponge to break in but after it did, I didn't find it slow at all. It's...
  5. best way to store rubber sheet in summer weather?

Humidity is probably a bigger danger to the rubber due to oxidation so I'd store them sealed if possible and unsealed I'd use some silica packets to keep it dry. If you want cheap silica substitute you can store with dry rice grains.
  6. Am in the wrong or is this super annoying to everyone else as well?

Was this at a club in Saigon? In my experience, loud commentary is pretty common in Vietnam but usually only after points are completed.
  7. "wrapping" the ball.

How does one even pick and stick to a single angle for something like a FH stroke when there is body rotation and the stroke is going from right to left as well as up and forwards? Keeping your arm loose, then snapping to a salute with the proper weight transfer produces a natural elipse shape...

Agree, I think a good amount of us bought some LAC from the Loki Store recently. If none of ours bubble at all, then I think it's safe to say longle somehow found a bad batch. If all of ours start bubbling too..... well, then I think Loki has a bigger problem on its hands than just some grey...

The LAC is $23.75 on Loki Official Store right now. It was only under $20 with the discounts from the sale 2 weeks ago. I know because I also purchased it from the Loki Official Store. It's $13 at Lazada at all times with no sale. $13 is 48% less than $23.75. You can nearly by 2 for the price...

Again, I don't know why you're pushing this narrative that this is some official Loki policy that they're going to divulge to their PR people. In almost every other industry, grey area product somehow finds its way out of production. If the rubbers themselves can get out, then the even cheaper...
  11. Should I stick to the ALC blade as a beginner?

You could just stick with it. There is a small concern that the carbon will mute feedback and interfere with developing feeling for the ball. You've already seen yourself how the wrong equipment as a beginner can be a problem with the Burn OFF. Stiga Allround Classic is possibly the slowest...
  12. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

I don't know enough either. But I do trust @longle 's experience. Two out of two sheets bubbled after a week, and they are both somehow discounted over 40% from everywhere else in the world from two different Lazada sellers. The odds of that happening and being unrelated seem so small to me that...
  13. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Why would you suggest that I thought Loki is making a conscious choice to distribute lower quality rubbers? There are many reasons why quality control rejected samples of a product somehow get into public distribution. I'm not offering an explanation as to how it happened, only suggesting that...

I'm glad I ordered from the Loki Official store now instead of those Lazada sellers. 330k VND was low enough of a price to be enticing but also low enough to be a bit suspicious that something might be off. It's over a 40% discount from everywhere else.
  15. WTT Contender Zagreb 2023

Amazing event for Hirano! She must've lost every single long rally in the entire match but maanaged to win enough of the quick points with spin and pace variation. Whatever she's doing differently, the Chinese team don't seem to be prepared for.
  16. "wrapping" the ball.

Yes there's also the warping of the blade and of the ball itself to consider which adds an extra layer of complexity.
  17. "wrapping" the ball.

There is some high speed camera footage out there that shows that the ball does traverse the rubber. I saw one where you could see the ball clearly crawling up the face of a sticky rubber (wish I could find it now). Here's one that's less obvious with a stationary blade and you can clearly see...
  18. "wrapping" the ball.

This is what I took away from the last time this topic came up in the "don't blame your rubber" thread. I think the model brokenball proposes relies on a one-dimensional contact point and an instant time of contact. I think it's safe to say that while this model can approximate reality in some...
  19. Haifu Seamoon National Black vs Normal Seamoon Yellow Booster???

Here's a comparison from TT11 https://blog.tabletennis11.com/review-five-oil-based-boosters Looks like it's meant for very physical players as it makes the H3 feel harder, more difficult to play with but maybe more dangerous lower arcing loops.
  20. WTT Contender Zagreb 2023

No thread on this yet, and this event is heating up heading into the 2nd round. Though all eyes are on Miwa Harimoto and how she will fare against tougher competition this event, I'm glad to also see Haruna Ojio in the main draw and progressing into the Round of 16 with her best win ever (and...
