  1. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

I've tried Rxton 5 and Rxton 3 blue so I'm familiar with those. Maybe it was due to the 3 layers of baby oil, but Rxton 5 got very soft and mushy on me after less than 20 hours of use. It measured only 48d on my durometer and I didn't feel like reboosting it when the sponge lost its liveliness...
  2. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

How do you like the Rxton 1 Plus on your FH btw? I was using it on the BH but it was pretty hard to use. I had to use a really big swing to get the ball over the net. Good for practicing a full stroke I guess but not very practical when playing. I measured the sponge hardness at 50d. I'm...
  3. 26th Asian Table Tennis Championship

ATTU Live is not streaming Table 1 (Women's SF between Japan and China). How do I view this?
  4. Where do I buy Mizuno shoes in Australia?

Li-Ning Double Shadow. Think most if not all CNT players wear Li-Ning.
  5. Next step after Xiom Allround S > Offensive S or Ignito or other not Xiom blade

If you are comfortable with the grip then get an Offensive S. The vibration should be a lot less since the thickness is 6.0+mm and it'll be about 5-10g heavier. 5.5mm is way thin and flexy for the new ball. I found the 5.7mm thickness of a Nittaku Accoustic problematic for the same reasons. The...
  6. For those over 30yo, what could you have done differently?

I've been living right next to ICC in Milpitas for about 20 years now (literally less than 1 km away). I just started playing TT less than a year ago in my 40s too, and just stepped foot into that place just this week. So I'm in the same boat when it comes to missed opportunity.
  7. For those over 30yo, what could you have done differently?

One thing that isn't mentioned enough is the loss of power and explosiveness at advanced age. Many people in the fitness community know that you'll lose somewhere between 0.5% to 1.5% of your muscle mass per year from 30-60 years old. That can be ameliorated through strength training. But one...
  8. Returning to table tennis, lots of change! Did I buy the wrong blade and rubbers?

You will need to give us more details about how long you've played and what your training experience is to get an accurate answer. Saying you're an "average player" doesn't help much. Have you had coaching? Do you do dedicated training drills? Have you mastered all the major strokes? If you...
  9. Shoes without heightened heel

There is a lot of discussion on tennis forums about minimalist shoes. You might want to check those out. Some people use Merrel and Vivo for tennis so it should probably work for too. One thing to be mindful of is to find some with non-marking soles since some clubs require it on harder flooring.
  10. Nittaku Fastarc Series

C-1 sponge is exactly 45d on my durometer when measuring from the sponge. Measuring from the topsheet yields 48d though. This suggests to me that the topsheet is harder than the sponge by a few degrees.
  11. Moon 12 Blue on sale!

Medium soft I measured at 45d. Would be bizarre for the hard version to be basically the same as the soft.
  12. What other rubbers different than Rozenas on all wood blade?

This is what I've suspected from my experience after researching blades, reading reviews, and trying to understand TT equipment over the past year or so. The fact that companies reknown for their quality like Butterfly and Nittaku still release blades that vary in weight by 15+ grams in the same...
  13. FH sideswipe / fade

I've been watching these videos recently too. Looks like you can do a similar inside out receive on almost all sorts of spin on the FH side. Guchy did a more detailed video with the different types of inside out receives you can do here: Unfortunately the subtitles kinda suck on this one.
  14. Delivering the ball at rocket speed. 60 Kmh maybe.

Just by listening to the sound of the first and second bounce, it sounds like Lind's serve is way faster than the Russian dude's serve.
  15. XIOM Solo, discontinued?

Decided to research your question and came up with an interesting page here: https://ttgearlab.com/2020/01/01/xiom-novus-series/ Looks like TT Gear Lab was hired by Xiom to design a bunch of blades in the "Novus" line. According to the page, at least 16 blades were designed by them. They...
  16. How do you keep your blade handles clean?

I've been considering sealing my handles too. Do you notice any change in the feel after doing so?
  17. How do you keep your blade handles clean?

I've heard people using wipe on polyurethane on the handle. Supposed to keep the handle in great looking condition, but might change the feel in the hand.
  18. Alternative to Stiga Clipper and Intensity

Coming at this from a different angle, I've read that you need at least around a 90g Clipper. Lighter versions will feel strange, which may be what you're experiencing. You might want to search for discussions about that.
  19. G-1

I don't think so. There are other people like "ANATOMIC EDGE" that have taken a durometer to both C-1 and S-1 and they have the same results as me. The S-1 has a very soft sponge that just isn't anywhere near 45d.
  20. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Yinhe Mercury 2 is pretty beastly when boosted. You should give that a shot. Only the medium sponges are available now. I'm guessing someone bought up all the hard sponge sheets to boost. No way to tell before getting it, but the heavier the sheet is the better it plays. I've had maybe 3 sheets...
