  1. Korea Open 2017

Ando has been a nightmare for most players to face, but Feng, after the first game, has done a great job.
  2. CNT Closed Training for WTTC 2017

Fine, I will post my list and let people criticize. Since row 1 is easy (JYS, CCY, DO, JM, TB, VS, MF), LEt's look at 2 and 3. 1. WCT 2. KK 3. KN 4. SF 5. JSH (LSS) 6. CCA 7. LSS (JWJ/JSE) 8. SG 9. TP 10. RG ??? 11. TA 12. AS 13. KM 14. EL 01. PD 02. LP 03. PG 04. TF 05. PF 06. MK (AK)...
  3. CNT Closed Training for WTTC 2017

I will post my list early tomorrow.
  4. CNT Closed Training for WTTC 2017

Anyone want to guess who the main challengers of China are? This would be a good competition if some one had the answers - the top 7 are fairly easy. But it gets more difficult from then on. I think there are 34 players and I can guess with certainty about 29, maybe 30 - the last 4 or 5 are iffy.
  5. Bty Petr Korbel (Hungary) vs Tibhar Stratus Power Wood

I agree but you are really replying to Dominus. Carl is definitely not a beginner :D.
  6. Bty Petr Korbel (Hungary) vs Tibhar Stratus Power Wood

Korbel has a much better build quality than the SPW. The blades are not that similar - Korbel is thinner and flexier and to me a faster looping blade, though I have seen lots of disagreements on the internet - my Korbels are 96 and 98g though. SPW has thicker and has a more solid approach to...
  7. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I discovered that while learning the reverse serve from Brett. I immediately transferred it to my backhand serve and sometimes use it on my pendulum serve as well. The swing is never exactly the same, but as long as the receiver thinks it is, good things will happen. It's not that hard to see...
  8. Dhs ABS balls

I have tried all balls including the V40+ from Dfish. I couldn't disagree with you more, there is more similarity between the seamed ABS balls than between seamed ABS balls and other plastic balls.
  9. Miu Hirano creates history winning the Asian Championships 2017!

Understood. What you call patience is what I call getting better at what you do. Comes with mastery of your stroke and your seeing the ball better. Which all comes with age. You can't tell people to do it, they just become better with practice.
  10. Miu Hirano creates history winning the Asian Championships 2017!

IT is a great question, I really think it depends on the quality of the defender because she probably kills her teammates and has killed some defenders on the tour, though she struggled with Han Ying at the last World Tour final and could not take a game I believe - that could have been travel...
  11. Miu Hirano creates history winning the Asian Championships 2017!

The above analysis misses the whole point by saying that Hirano should learn to be more patient. It is her kamikaze approach that is her strength, she takes the Chinese approach to the next level similar to the men's game where while the Japanese would like you to make 100 shots in a row, the...
  12. Asian Championships 2017

Every thing you said was what I picked up watching the match. I think it was a point of pride that he can't lose to LGY yet. But against FZD, it was clear even looking at ZJK's face that he accepted that the amount of spin and power that FZD was generating was beyond his pay grade. I think...
  13. Asian Championships 2017

That is exactly correct. His father was a player and coach who took his son to Korea.
  14. Jang Woo-jin using hurricane 3 national blue sponge???

So maybe wording it better and promptly apologizing for the potential misinterpretation would have ended this a long time ago? I get you didn't intend to offend anyone, but at this point, your digging in your heels over this is unnecessary IMO. "Korea doesn't manufacture TT rubbers as far as...
  15. Asian Championships 2017

Someone showed they have more ice in their veins than Niwa.
  16. Asian Championships 2017

To me, the balls (D40+) are similar enough to Nittaku Premium but the most common complaint I hear is that these balls have less spin than Nittaku, not more spin, but who knows. In Ma Long's specific case, given he was the king of the plastic era with the DHS 40+, I get it. But the D40+ ball...
  17. Asian Championships 2017

She had won it quite a few times as a Chinese too: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_Table_Tennis_Championships She won in 1988 which needs some explaining given the story.
  18. FH topspin v chop

Curious, what should one learn from the video?
  19. Asian Championships 2017

The three problems are eliminated. Spinless is a matter of personal preference.
  20. Asian Championships 2017

I disagree with a lot of this, even when agreeing with some of it. Most people I know already hit through spin with the seamless balls so I am not sure I agree with this. The thing about the ABS 40+ balls is that they are faster than the seamless balls and the ball trajectories are more in...
