    Agree 100%.
  3. Rakza 7 alternatives

Fast and spinny, yes - but has a very strong catapult effect.
  4. Rakza 7 alternatives

I find it easy for blocking - but, note, only as a forehand rubber. It's not bad on the BH but, to me anyway, it feels excellent on the FH and not-quite-right on the BH. FYI, take a look here: https://pingsunday.com/best-forehand-rubbers-table-tennis/#09_Fastarc_G1 And also here...
  5. looking for a new blade

Have you tried any composite blades? Perhaps at a local club? If so, and if you remember what you liked and/or didn't like about them that might help give a sense of direction. That said, if your Clipper is working for you ... why fix what isn't broken?

  7. Rakza 7 alternatives

Nittaku Fastarc G-1 might be a good option for you. I think it ticks the boxes you're looking for.
  8. Which is faster? Tenergy or old speed glue rubbers?

UpSideDownCarl's answer is spot on: Speed comes primarily from technique, not primarily from equipment. Using equipment that has a spin/speed balance that's appropriate to your own skill level will both help you develop your technique and give you confidence to play your shots with full commitment.
  9. Which is faster? Tenergy or old speed glue rubbers?

I think the OP is asking which would be faster now: Tenergy (let's assume T05) or Bryce with speed glue? In other words, I don't think the question is whether T05 is faster with the current 40+ ball versus speed-glued Bryce with the smaller and lighter ball of the previous generation. To the...
  10. Stiga DNA Dragon Grip

Am I looking at the wrong site? It still seems to be available here: https://www.stigasports.com/eu/dna-dragon-grip-55-2-3-table-tennis-rubber-red
  11. Stiga DNA Dragon Grip

Anyone had a go with the new Dragon Grip yet?
  12. Future equipment help

Ahma, I seem to remember you mentioning in one of your early posts that you have a coach. Or at least that there is a coach at your club and that he/she had made some encouraging comments about your technique. Is that correct, or am I mixing up your story with someone else's? (Quite possible!)...
  13. Rubber catapult ranking

Of course they are! That's why the start of this thread referred to "impressions" and how the catapult of the various rubbers "feel". And subjective impressions/opinions are not without value. If the majority of players share the opinion that, for example, rubber A has a stronger catapult...
  14. Rubber catapult ranking

Any thoughts on different catapult strengths within the category of Euro/Japanese style rubbers? For example, I found the XIOM Omega V Tour to have a very strong catapult - so much so that I was constantly hesitant in my shots and it was (for me) no fun to play with. By contrast, Fastarc G-1...

  16. mid tacky hard forehand rubber

I see (in the latest Tibhar catalogue) there's a K3 now.
  17. Should I change to Chinese rubber on the forehand?

This is an excellent combo and, unless your coach advises you otherwise, I'd stick with it for a long time. Upgrade to the max thickness when the time is right, or possibly to MXS 2.0mm if you want a harder FH rubber. Fundamentally, though, that's a really good setup and you could play up to a...
  18. Ebony Blades ?

Ah! So you're suggesting it might be reconstituted Ebony, not that it might be another wood species altogether? I know Fineline is reconstituted wood, but I thought you were suggesting it might be some species other than Ebony. If it is (Ebony) Fineline I do agree with you that they should...
  19. Ebony Blades ?

Agree 100% That's why it would be good to have a reply from Andro. If I thought Hipnotic's opinion wasn't important then it could just be dismissed without consideration. My request for a reply indicates my respect for his expertise in these matters. Apologies that that wasn't clear from my...
