  1. Xu Xin's Backhand

I agree. That's why when I say that, I always put the qualifier "compared to his CNT members" because yes his backhand is probably really good. But compared to the big names on the CNT, he's significantly behind IMO when comparing backhands.
  2. Xu Xin's Backhand

I've seen XX do the over the table loop on serve, off the table loop, backahand block etc. I don't think it's that he's never been taught or doesn't know how to do these things. He simply, compared to his CNT member counterparts, is far more inconsistent IMO. It just seems to me he routinely...
  3. New era with DHS D40+ 3 Star Balls

I just want them to push out those two-toned balls. Those are sweet. I think they make for a much, much nicer TV product. And if nothing else, they'd make great service practice balls.
  4. Which glue are you using?

Elhmers rubber cement. So fast. So easy. Just one thing. Never ever use it on any DHS rubber. I've had 3 DHS rubbers in my lifetime. H3 NEo, H2, H3 regular. Thinking maybe i just got a bad one early on, every time i glue with rubber cement, that top sheet bubbles somewhere as it separates from...
  5. Long serves to FZD

I was listening to a podcast interview from Expert Table Tennis where Ben was interviewing former pro Dan Seemiller and Dan predicted that at some point in the future that the long serve will come back into play. I'm paraphrasing here but I think he said with these players all working &...
  6. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Something kinda radical going on I suppose in my game recently. I'm making the switch to shakehand. Yep. Felt like I had plateaued some time ago playing penhold. As a little background, I started out shakehand and switched oh about 7 years ago to penhold. But after hitting this wall (which...
  7. Adam Bobrow VS World's Fastest Serve!

I don't see how you could call fault on that serve he did vs Adam. Funny enough. In the all things service thread, i talked about the two main types I think it's important to develop. 1st, deceptive. But then after all your club mates know your serves, nice to have the "it's got so much spin...
  8. All things service

I have this theory that there are two main serve types big picture wise. Deceptive as one, and non-deceptive and "so much spin what are you going to do about it" as the other. I've seen good players who use both. While I prefer deceptive, because you're holding your bat close to your body and...

Comment by 'suds79' in media 'Fan Zhendong Highlights (Stage 1)'

What I learned out of this video if one wants to improve their game like FZD. Just hit with more power. More spin. And don't miss. Got it. :p

This is the thread that just won't die.
  11. Let's talk about seamless plastic ball

I've hit with the XSF ball. Really nice. You should try out the seamless Gambler 3 star ball. Cheaper and i swear if you took off the logo, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between that and that XSF ball. Amazing ball. Our club uses it. sold at zeropong or megaspin
  12. Simon Gauzy and Shibaev Bust Up at Europe Top 16

All I know is this was awesome. The video made me chuckle. I don't know where it started but you have two guys, who don't like each other and it got heated. Happens all the time in professional sports. Little bad blood between competitors makes for more interesting story lines. No big deal.
  13. Emrathich channel was closed, now is reopen

I'll save you the reading through 200 replies in the other thread. Here's why people say that. - He doesn't actually post anything about himself or demonstrate the techniques. On the other side people who like him stick to the. - Hey if it works for you, Great. Try it and find out. There...
  14. Pro players that don't boost

Well of course. People have different techniques. The difference would be in their skill with said equipment. But if say an organization was concerned about trying to make everything as equal as possible, then same equipment would make the most sense. However I think we'd all agree the...
  15. Pro players that don't boost

I just assume they all do and therefore are on a relatively even playing level. ... and even if they are not, the ITTF doesn't care about the players being on the the same level anyways. If so, everybody would have to play with the same rubbers. But we don't and I'm fine with it.
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Last Sunday I had a go with some new setup stuff. I got a new short pip & long pip for my Clipper. TSP Spectol Red short pips & Dawei 388 D-1 long pips. Both were an utter failure for me. Not the rubbers. Just me. The TSP Spectol Red on that 44 deg sponge was simply too fast. I mean by a...
  17. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Had my first test run with the new short pips TSP Spectol Red on the robot. It's too early to call but I like what I saw. Coming from 802-40 on a 2.0 30 deg air super soft sponge, the Spectol Red performed exactly how I thought it would. Very similar but with just a touch more speed...

+1000 I've been a fan of this guy's channel for some time. Great content. Knows what he's talking about.
  19. New era with DHS D40+ 3 Star Balls

Baal, Agreed. Our club uses a seamless ball which is really nice but the neighboring town uses the Nittaku ball which from what I've seen is well reviewed but seamed & most of all super pricey. Our club at this stage simply cannot afford that ball. Hoping the DHS ball is good as well.

Awesome. Can i be your financial adviser? Just give me your money and I will make good investments with it. Don't worry, i will resite good investment techniques from what I find in other videos or google to make you feel at ease. Personally, I love it that you're not actually asking for any...
