  1. Dignics 05 vs Dignics 80 for Forehand

It’s sounds a big jump and to quick for your level. Especially without seeing you play. I tried a similar setup from a friend and although it felt great in training was way to quick for match play. D80 is better on BH in my opinion. Great at blocking.
  2. Butterfly Rozena and Glayzer durability

I’ve used mine all summer a min 4hrs a week some weeks more and the spin is fine top sheet looks brand new apart from a little rip in the edge of the Glayzer bh from clipping the table. And a little scrub mark on the G09c which I have no idea where it’s from. I always clean after and have...
  3. What is STIGA Cybershape?

I may try them - well certainly Glayzer but probably not G09c its really not that spiny and/or fast - im not sure I like it that much really, but just regular Glayzer is nice. I do have a spare uncut R45 I might try but think it might be a bit bouncy. Though I can play with D09c/G09c - i think...
  4. TESTING TRULS MOREGARD'S TABLE TENNIS BAT!

It is a blocking monster the Cybershape
  5. What is STIGA Cybershape?

Just wondered what other rubbers people have been liking on the Cybershape - I have DNA pro H both sides. Im thinking of maybe trying something a little softer on BH - but dont know if pro M will be too pingy. I think DNA H and the cybershape is a great combo of pace and control - but does have...
  6. Schlager video describing Glayzer, Glayzer 09C and Rozena

Really interesting his opinion about switching the blade is easier than the rubber
  7. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Interesting - and is something worth checking out. I like D09c and G09c - and dont like K3 (havent tried C53 but have tried C48). Slowing it down and making it more spinny would be what i would like to change it too.
  8. Official ETTU YouTube channel with questionable content

Agreed, it should be common sense - but I imagine the difference in experience between the head of the Spanish FA and social media person at ETTU would be massive. They maybe very junior or inexperienced - has it been through the right signoff stages? If someone high up has been involved they...
  9. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

How is the Golden Tango on the Cybershape? I know this thread isn't about equipment specifically so feel free to message me elsewhere. But i bought a Cybershape 2nd hand to try but am not really getting on with it, mainly the BH. But i am going to try different rubbers on it first - currently...
  10. Official ETTU YouTube channel with questionable content

I would go so far as to say someone should be fired - but certainly educated on why that isn't ok.
  11. Tibhar MK Carbon Blade

What is the composition? How is it speed wise compared to the Viscaria?
  12. Official ETTU YouTube channel with questionable content

One of the local clubs near me had a women's day yesterday with a really good turn out - from all ages and levels. Then you get this from the ETTU. Pointless content and embarrassing that at senior levels of the sport they think this is ok. Good they have changed the title - but why not delete...
  13. A pathetic situation?

Thats a really good point - if your good at blocking people will love to hit with you!
  14. A pathetic situation?

First up its not a pathetic situation - don't beat yourself up like that. TT in general can be clique - its an aspect I really don't like about it. I agree with a lot of what people have said in trying to speak with the people that run the sessions as a first idea. It may seem different in...
  15. Cheap alternative to D05?

I personally cant see the point in training with one setup then playing with another, even if they are meant to be similar. Surely you would be better off waiting till your Dignics is wearing out then move it to your spare setup using the fresh on on the main setup.
  16. Returning to table tennis, lots of change! Did I buy the wrong blade and rubbers?

I thought with coming from Ekrips and that big loop style the throw angle would be the main difference - it was quite a unique rubber i remember. As always trying out other peoples bats/rubbers if you go to any club nights would be a good idea before spending more on equipment. For your son i...
  17. Anyone have a sneak peak of Glayzer yet?

Ive gone back to Glayzer 09c Fh and Glayzer on BH and am liking it - especially with an outer carbon blade I think it works well. Im not 100% sure I like Inner carbon blades as much despite trying a few. Its not Dignics but is up there, andI think the positives out-way the minimal % increases...
  18. For those over 30yo, what could you have done differently?

I would have not listened to as may different people/coaches and try to be more focused and selective (difficult without hindsight) but less people and more time. Not bothered trying Chinese style rubbers - unless you are a kid or brought up with that style - the focus needed to be enough to...
  19. Returning to table tennis, lots of change! Did I buy the wrong blade and rubbers?

From what i remember playing back when you did, Ekrips was quite Mark V like (which I used with Tibhar Rapid Dtecs that was a great rubber too  ) which back then was reasonably fast top end rubber - but in modern terms is very slow, and without the catapult effect of modern rubbers. Slower...
  20. BB's thread about higher frequency blades being faster.

Usually I ignore these types of threads with all the negativity in them. But can I just say thanks for writing this @hipnotic from your perspective, and more importantly the way you have written it - I've really learnt something and although I don't fully understand all of it I get a much better...
