  1. Nasty rubber setup, another great ERT video

This thread is a joke. The difference in equipment and styles is what makes the sport great and unique. Look at some of the players at the top who are popular. It is because they are unique. The Lebruns, Truls with his unusual shots, Aruna FH, Hugos huge high toss serve, Mima BH punch etc -...
  2. Creating side underspin with a loop

I like this is your new catchphrase :ROFLMAO:
  3. Lost interest in WTT

I agree - the problem is (certainly in the UK) is its a niche sport that can be quite clique and not very 'professional/mature' - its seen as a pastime rather than a sport. I do think the lack of elite competition in the UK plays a part in terms of coverage and popularity though - there are...
  4. "wrapping" the ball.

Theres a video Dan and Tom have done with tips on the BH with Pitchford where he visualise going up and over the ball for his BHs to help the stroke. With the side by sides with Dan you can see how flexible and fluid he is compared to Dan which obviously delivers the spin.
  5. European Games 2023

I hope Freitas wins as feel it will have a bigger impact on him. The Lebruns are going to be around a while and will have plenty of wins. I wouldnt have thought Freitas would be in the final beforehand - so would be great for him. Plus hes a leftie
  6. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Played a ranking tournament at the weekend - my first like that since I was a junior many moons ago (will be 40 this year!). Finish 3rd in my band 5 wins 2 losses. Maybe could have got one more win on another day, but great fun and pleased with the outcome. Showing the training is finally...
  7. I made a Timo Boll ALC Cybershape

I'm not sure I like this thread - seeing you destroy lovely blades haha
  8. I Played Vs World Champion Werner Schlager | Speed Glue Edition

Really nice video, and Schlager seems like such a character, what a legend! :) Wish we could have seen more about the difference in feel of the rubbers and process - but i guess as its illegal you didn't go into detail? I can barely remember speed glue as i didn't use it as was stopping...
  9. Longevity of Hybrid rubbers

Agree tried D80 on backhand of a friends bat - its so nice!
  10. Dignics 05 vs Tenergy 05

I think that’s exactly it for me. Dignics is far better at the short game. I played a Lp pips player using Dignics and then tenergy and with tenergy your timing has to be so precise in comparison.
  11. Dignics 05 vs Tenergy 05

At practice there was only a couple of people there so tried some rackets, tenergy and Dignics. Dignics 80 on bh was so nice. I think I’m sold :-)
  12. Dignics 05 vs Tenergy 05

But we aren't pros :-D I agree it is really good and the spin sensitivity is great - and the hardest point to move away from, but I do think there is an ease of spin with Tenergy. I just wondered if anyone had changed back. Dan for instance I think still uses Tenergy on FH.
  13. Anyone have a sneak peak of Glayzer yet?

I think Glayzer is a better rubber than Rozena (i personally dont like Rozena that much at all) but i think Glayzer09c is not great.
  14. Dignics 05 vs Tenergy 05

I know this is waking up an old thread - but am interested to see if views have changed? Mainly because after the weekend I'm looking at changing my rubbers over the summer. Ive played all season with 09c both sides but am thinking of going back to Tenergy or maybe on the BH at least. Im...
  15. using a razor blade to cut the rubber

Having lived in Switzerland for a while previously i have two Victorinox Swiss Army Knifes (there the proper Swiss Army knifes) - and they are great for this - only downside is one of my knifes has a lot of tools on it so its quite wide so makes it not the easiest to use - but its super sharp...
  16. Timo boll 30th anniversary contract edition (G-FLESS handle) limited edition gold tag

Really? The Boll is slightly harder and faster than the Viscaria in my opinion. In the UK the Viscaria or Korbel are more the standard from the coaches.
  17. What is the spinniest ESN hybrid rubber for Joola Flash ball? (seamless ball)

Thanks for the update - glad you had a good tournament too!
  18. Anyone have a sneak peak of Glayzer yet?

After a few more sessions I totally agree with this. The arc is rather flat and it just doesn't seem that spiny whether hard shots or light contact. I will give it a go on another blade - but Im a bit disappointed with it now. Glayzer is much better - but again may try it on a different blade...
  19. What is the spinniest ESN hybrid rubber for Joola Flash ball? (seamless ball)

What sponge hardness are the Rakza Z and 7 Fastarc G1/C1?
