  1. First Custom Racket for Beginner suggestions

Hi and welcome to the forum! What's your budget? Do you have a preferred brand? Off the top of my head, I'd say a Xiom Offensive S blade, with DHS Hurricane 3 2.15mm on the FH (forehand) and Xiom Vega Europe 2.0mm on the BH (backhand). You can purchase this setup for a great price at...
  2. SPIN is a 4 letter word that starts with "S"

Yeah, that's the right primary tactic when playing someone who doesn't use a lot of spin, otherwise you're prone to too much risk taking and sending the ball wide (when fast spinning) or into the net (when slow spinning) too often. You can see the guy in the pink/black trying to put some spin...
  3. Xiom Omega VII Euro vs...

In Europe, Omega VII Pro and Euro are only 2€ less than Tenergy. I know the difference in price is larger in the US between these rubbers.
  4. Xiom Omega 7 Hyper and Vega X

Totally agree! I'll also add that Vega X feels harder than Pro although the sponge hardness is the same, its topsheet's pimple structure must be denser, which would also explain the added weight. Both good rubbers, but overall I also prefer Pro.
  5. viscaria +t05 --------------for 50 eur

Ok case closed. I don't need to try it, and I'm not missing out. Not wasting 50€. I know the worth of Decathlon products. 50€ spent there on clothing is money well spent, on TT blades, it isn't. If it were 30€, maybe my club would give it a try.
  6. viscaria +t05 --------------for 50 eur

True. Having tried their rubbers, they are decent (of course nowhere near as good as Tenergy or AK47, we all know that except OP apparently) but they don't last long at all, there are much better rubbers out there for the same price, for beginners and advanced (Friendship, Palio, DHS...). And...
  7. re-visiting Neo Hurricane 3, provincial 37 and 38 degree

Hey, not yet, but I will be sometime next month. I think the Viscaria gives me the extra boost I need with unboosted H3 Neo right now. Do you boost your H3N's? You don't find 38 too soft on your FH?
  8. viscaria +t05 --------------for 50 eur

I don't disagree, but your boy started it and wouldn't stop either, so don't give him too much credit. The forum is also not typically a place where such titles and misleading posts are seen. I'd rather people bought good and trusted cheap equipment rather than expensive 50€ not so good premades.
  9. viscaria +t05 --------------for 50 eur

And the love story, fantasy and obsession began... "Never had I seen such a big store with all the sports things in one place, all great, and all cheap... a dream come true. Like a kid, in a candy store." It's happening everywhere friend, Decathlon, Intersports, Champs Sports, Dick's Sporting...
  10. viscaria +t05 --------------for 50 eur

The Pongori is not a good choice, you can get a better bat made for 40€ or less. All the Pongori I've tried that new members brought were terrible, and when we had them tried simple paddles from Banco or Tibhar, even they could tell the difference instantly. A Viscaria with Tenergy is not for...
  11. viscaria +t05 --------------for 50 eur

Nobody thinks or said Decathlon is a mediocre store... stop putting words in people's mouths. Their paddles are a different story... And just about everybody knows they're huge (except maybe in the US, although I know a store was about to open in SF a few years ago when I was still living in...
  12. viscaria +t05 --------------for 50 eur

Pass the popcorn Kuba, the funsies are on like Donkey Kong!
  13. viscaria +t05 --------------for 50 eur

Your comment was very clear? You say you've owned many Viscarias, yet you don't understand what all the fuss is about, then why own so many? You're a walking contradiction. Yet, you want to talk humbleness when you criticize my English? "But hey, my people thank you for the free advertising!"...
  14. viscaria +t05 --------------for 50 eur

Now you want to comment on my English? You're ridiculous. Me not understanding your sarcasm has nothing to do with language and everything to do with your poor context. Do you want me to point out English grammatical mistakes you've made in this thread and others or are we talking about TT? Do...
  15. viscaria +t05 --------------for 50 eur

The point is we grew up with Decathlon since the 80's, it's in every small and big city here, so we're not too refined for it, we like it and are used to it, but we can also discern quality from one product to another.
  16. viscaria +t05 --------------for 50 eur

You can't generalize, I think a lot of their stuff is good, some is great, some is crap. Their Tarmak basketballs are good, but you can get better balls from Spalding, Wilson... Their running shoes are good, but you can get better ones from Asics, Mizuno... Their clothing is actually really...
  17. viscaria +t05 --------------for 50 eur

You can't say you "respect Viscaria" and "I don't see the big deal about them" in the same sentence, it doesn't add up... lmao. If you respected the Viscaria, you wouldn't compare it with the Pongori. Now you throw in the Donic Baum Esprit into the mix for whatever reason, diversion maybe, and...
  18. viscaria +t05 --------------for 50 eur

I've tried these rubbers. Also this blade is as good as the Yinhe V-14 Pro at best and likely not. Be real, you've never tried a Viscaria, and maybe never tried T05 either. I'm with passifid, I'd rather buy a Yinhe V-14 Pro or Pro Power for 35€, and either add 2 G-1 or MX-P at 30€ each (total...
  19. viscaria +t05 --------------for 50 eur

And that's coming from 2 Frenchmen! 😀 I support Decathlon, great international company from France which makes good products at reasonable prices, but you simply cannot compare this blade with a Viscaria and these rubbers with Tenergys.
  20. viscaria +t05 --------------for 50 eur

I have tried several of their TT products including these rubbers, and they're not great. On the other hand, I think Decathlon makes great clothing and shoes, bags... even decent TT tables. The rubbers are actually not bad, but come on man, let's be real, they're nowhere near T05. If you...
