  1. Calling all EJ’s !!! List the equipment tried over the last 2yrs

Interesting, I've never heard of Skyline 3-60 until now. I always think of Hurricane when I think DHS. Is Skyline3-60 similar to a tensor?
  2. Budget Setup for returning newbie : Sanwei CC or Power G-7 or V14pro

If you just had to pick one, I would go for the F3 Pro if you don't mind the extra cost. CC is best for cost-performance and nothing comes close. F3 Pro is NOT 3 times better. But F3 pro probably does have overall higher quality construction and materials.

Why don't you like ZLC? I have the regular TB ZLC, and I find it to have a stronger elasticity/rebound and also more flex (probably because its thinner) than the regular TB ALC. So in my simple mind, it feels superior than the ALC to me. Which rubbers are better for the same price than GA5?

BTW, how is the Gold Arc 5? How does the speed compare to Rakza 7 or Fastarc G1?
  5. Calling all EJ’s !!! List the equipment tried over the last 2yrs

Hey Duke I'm surprised that you of all people haven't EJ'ed some of Butterfly's more expensive blades. You're not so interested in the LYR S-ZLC? or ZJK S-ZLC? or the regular ZJK ZLC?
  6. Recommendations needed for a blade and rubbers

Sure, that is fine. But I still think BD is faster than Focus 3 Snipe, so the racket feels unbalanced to me. Again, you should try to have a faster rubber on BH, or at least the same speed. But that racket would definitely be fine for most intermediate players.
  7. Recommendations needed for a blade and rubbers

BD has more overall potential for spin and speed.
  8. Recommendations needed for a blade and rubbers

Big Dipper has more speed, Hurricane 8 is slower but spinnier. Both would be good choices for FH though. Personally I would pick the Big Dipper though. Mercury 2 on BH is bad choice. Go with AK47 or Moon speed on BH. Mercury doesn't have enough rebound for BH. I think 2.15 would be good for...
  9. Budget Setup for returning newbie : Sanwei CC or Power G-7 or V14pro

If you want something close to the Stiga OC, get the Yinhe Earth for $20. very cheap, high control blade. If you want a faster offensive blade, CC would be excellent choice. For rubber, you could get AK47, or Moon Speed, or even Ckylin Pro.
  10. Recommendations needed for a blade and rubbers

A lot of beginners buy Mercury for the cheap price, and its their very first rubber, so they don't really know how to rate it. It feels reasonably fast to them, so they rate it a 8.5. It's probably more like a 7.8-8. Big Dipper is probably underrated at 8.5. More like a 8.7 to 8.9 in my opinion.
  11. Recommendations needed for a blade and rubbers

If you are a chopper far from the table, most choppers use short pips on backhand rather than inverted rubber.
  12. Recommendations needed for a blade and rubbers

The "traditional" Chinese offensive style of build is to have a slower and highy spinny rubber on FH, and a slightly faster bouncier rubber on BH to makeup for the shorter stroke.
  13. Recommendations needed for a blade and rubbers

Well CC is rated Off++, it is an excellent offensive blade. I have one and love it. But its definitely not a blade for chopping. It's best for driving and looping. But if you just want to save money and chop with any blade, sure you can try it. Mercury 2 is the most basic Yinhe rubber. Its not...
  14. Recommendations needed for a blade and rubbers

For blades, do you want speed or control? T11 is probably overly stiff and not good for intermediate player. CC is the fastest of the remaining 3. Fextra is most control. Y13 is probably a nice balance of speed and control. Of the rubbers you mentioned, Big Dipper is a medium tacky, quite...
  15. Anyone play with the XVT ALC Dragon

Well its thicker than TB ALC, so its a little faster and a little stiffer. But I prefer it to Butterfly, because I like the extra little speed.
  16. Anyone play with the XVT ALC Dragon

How was the speed of the Huieson ALC?
  17. Anyone play with the XVT ALC Dragon

But don't you have 4 CC's? Are they all slower than your V14 Pro? I dont think my V14 pro is slow, it seems faster than Viscaria. But I just think the CC has more rebound and elasticity when you play a little bit off the table.
  18. Anyone play with the XVT ALC Dragon

I find the V14 Pro too slow! so I have been using the CC and Fang Bo Carbon recently.
  19. Limba, Hinoki, Ayous or Koto?

Actually I really dont know. I think i got this idea from people saying that the top end speed of inner is faster than outer. And when i hit with viscaria vs hl5, the hl5 seemed faster on the top end. But maybe its more of a placebo effect.
