Great! Thank you for your feedback!

Do you know if Skyline 2 is still tacky but Skyline 3 is not tacky anymore?
  3. Modern alternative to Samsonov Alpha

I am a huge fan of Tibhar's all wood blades. I have SSPW, Samsonov Blue, and Samsonov Force pro black. I like all of them. SSPW might have the most flex. Samsonov blue in the middle. Pro Black has the least flex. I agree. Pro Black does have the best looking finishing. Pro Black is also, with...
  4. New order from Dandoy, delivered in record time !

I boosted Mercury II, Sanwei Target National, AK47 red, Big Dipper 38 and 40 degree, etc. etc. They all play about the same, boosted or not. Only Hurricane responds to booster well. Don't ask me why. That's just my opinion.
  5. WTT Star Contender Lanzhou 2023

Felix forehand is weaker than his backhand. I think with RPB where now the penhold blade has two rubbers, it just becomes heavy. And that negate some of the strong suit of the penhold forehand. Yet Felix backhand is just very strong. In addition, with RPB, you naturally put side spin on top of...

Welcome to the dark side. Once you use hurricane, you cannot go back. No other rubbers have the gear of Hurricane. You want to play slow and spinny, no problem. You want to do a fast loop drive that kicks, no problem. You can to put side spin on your forehand loop, no problem. Ok a serious...

Thank you for your review. I will stick with hurricane then. Your advice has saved me from EJ'ing Bloom Power.

Well that's the problem. Hurricane 3 used to be a lot tackier than Dignics 09c. I have a sheet of black Dignics 09c. I am not used to it. I have put it on both a carbon blade and a wood blade. I still don't know why I don't like it on my forehand.

I think both H3 and H3 neo are less tacky. I also opened a couple packages of the new hurricane skyline/TG 2 and 3 neo. They are also less tack. Oh well....

A few comments. I have a sheet of Rxton 5. You can skip it. I find Rxton 3 pink, Rxton 3 blue and Rxton 5 to be about the same. Not very tacky. Sponge is kind of dead. However, I do like Rxton 1 plus with its black "carbon" sponge (the sponge looks like Xiom black "carbon" sponge except Xiom's...

Tibhar Stratus Power Wood. I don't know the exact measurements but I just know that I like to test new rubbers on that blade. Once I get a feel, I transfer to my other carbon blades and there is also extra rubber to cut off once I do the transfer. Not a single time the rubber cut out is too small.

I have not been disappointed by H3 neo orange sponge commercial. Do they take a while to break in? Yes. Do they eventually break in? Yes. Have I needed to throw away some sheets here and there? Not, really. You just have to be patient in breaking it in. Once the sheets are a bit worn out, they...
  13. San Francisco looking for training partner.

Got it. I will see how the National plays when it arrives. I got one sheet of blue sponge national and two sheets of orange sponge national. I assume your provincial is blue sponge? Have you tried provincial orange sponge? I have always played with commericial orange sponge. According to...
  14. How to reglue a recently glued and boosted H3N on a new Blade

Lol, if it is ZJK Super ZLC, I would not do that. If it were some cheap Chinese blades (Yinhe, Stuor, etc.), that will be a great idea!!! :) :)
  15. San Francisco looking for training partner.

My point is the OP needs to break in the commercial H3 for a while to let it come alive. Straight out of the package, after two or three layers of boosting, even I am not impressed by commercial H3. At the club, three people have played my broken in commercial H3 and wanted to trade their ESN...
  16. SOLD - FS: REDUCED: Xiom Power Hinoki Jpen + Rakza 7

If you are asking for 62 quids for it and you can afford it, then you should consider keeping it for your own enjoyment. I can see if money is tight and you want to sell it and buy something else to bring you more joy, then by all means sell it. However, if you think you will enjoy it, then keep...
  17. SOLD - FS: REDUCED: Xiom Power Hinoki Jpen + Rakza 7

Lol, you must have not played with penhold before. I grew up playing Jpen and you HAVE to sand the edges down. There is no other way. Your index finger would hurt a lot if you don't sand the blade down. But that also makes each blade very custom to each individual. In general, it is just...
  18. Hybrid rubbers (Euro/Jap - Chinese)

I don't have much to add that I played with my friend's DHS Long V and it vibrates a bit. I actually like my Stuor Long V better! Agree little to no vibration. Heavy blade with all the set-up. It is not my favorite blade. I am still testing it so not much more to add. Out of the three clone...
  19. San Francisco looking for training partner.

I have always played with H3 commercial. I don't see anything wrong with it. However, I do need to break the rubber in physically and reboost it one more time maybe a month later to really release the power of commercial H. However, I have never played with provincial or national version. Due...
  20. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

When I started learning table tennis, I would take 1-2 weeks off from the sport here and there because I was busy studying, trying to get into university. Whenever I came back to the training center, my timing would be off: my elbow not tight and my wrist all over the place. Every time that...
