  1. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I started learning table tennis when I was 13, not too young and not too old. I think it allowed me to appreciate how an "adult" beginner would feel. Coaches who started training at the age of 7 really have a hard time relating to adult beginners. I look at the players at the club and I am...
  2. TAKING ON THE BRITISH CHAMPIONS! TTD Team vs Ormeau | British Premier League | M1 (LIVE)

I watched it afterward. I skipped forward a lot. I agree with you. TTD was losing and they were not that close so I did not enjoy it as much as other videos. Damien Provost also looked like he was holding back but yet he was still winning with a decent margin.
  3. Does anybody know the composition of DHS PG5? Is it really the exact clone of DHS Long 5?

Not to add to the confusion There is Fang Bo carbon original version which I bought in 2019 and the newer Fang Bo B2x carbon. I do not like Fang Bo carbon orginal that I purchased back in 2019. Hard to describe. Too much vibration. Not enough dwell. It does not have any rubber on it. I have...
  4. Glayzer 09c vs Hybrid K3

I second that. The surface of Glayzer 09c is very mildly tacky. I can run my finger over it but yet the ball is not that spinny. I don't quite get it. Dignic 09c is definitely spinny. I also prefer regular Glayzer over Glayzer 09c. In other words, I would also pick K3 as well.
  5. Looking for a detailed difference between K3 and 09C?

Dignics 09c is more durable than K3. So if you don't EJ too much and stick with Dignics 09c, 09c will cost you less money in the long run.
  6. Life expectancy of Tibhar K3?

You cannot compare Dignics 09c to Hurricanes and Tenergies. Dignics 09c has a tacky surface. It will wear off eventually no matter how well you maintain it. By contrast, Dignic 05 and Tenergies have grippy surface but it not tacky. To keep grippy surface grippy does not require as much work...
  7. GEWO Nexxus series

I assuem you mean Rasanter R version is a lot better than V version?
  8. Why do only Chinese players use DHS rubbers?

I like the first video. I mean everyone uses H3 blue sponge on the forehand side except for Cheong Chi Cheng who uses D09c. A couple of them also used D09c on the BH. One even uses 42 degree of H3 blue sponge which must be hard as a rock. I disagree with that you need to be fit to use...
  9. Stiga Genesis 2 M rubber reviews

I had the old Genesis when it was on clearance. Bad rubber. I have no interest in using Genesis 2. The originally Genesis is clearly made in China by DHS for Stiga. The sponge. The printing pretty much gave it away. So DHS managed, with old Genesis, to create a rubber that is both sponcy (ESN...
  10. TAKING ON THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS! | TTD Team vs Team Sweden

A few comments: Agree. If it is Team Sweden, then Falk will be playing the second position and Karlsson would be third. The Dane, Daniel Simonsen, if he is still the #1 Danish junior, then with his progression, he should not be allowed to be up 6-0 to start each set. He looks to be improving...
  11. Do unused, not opened Butterfly blades go up in value?

Got it. I went to PingSunday, our controversial website here, to find info. Serial number started 2006. Black tag ended 2008. The silver tag started 2009. Then silver tag, modified logo started 2015. Serial number started with G in 2006. Last year was W. This year is X. Got it.
  12. Do unused, not opened Butterfly blades go up in value?

What does Q, R, S mean? What does M, K mean? I am not familiar with Butterfly products. I just know about Viscaria, then regular ALC, now super ALC. Then there is ZLC, and now super ZLC. There is also innerforce (i.e. innercarbon).
  13. Do unused, not opened Butterfly blades go up in value?

Lol, you are funny. There is inflation. If I were to buy unused and not opened Butterfly blades, I really am not thinking that I will beat inflation per se. It will be really kind of hobby.
  14. Do unused, not opened Butterfly blades go up in value?

Serioius question. Do unused, not opened Butterfly blades go up in value? I have seen people selling used, beat-up first generation Viscaria for a lot of money. Do people actually collect them? If so, what current blades do you think will be collectible in the future?
  15. Price increase at TT11?

My shipments from TT11 have arrived via DHL as well. Service is still good. Inflation is real.
  16. Hybrid Alternatives

I have used K2 before and I liked it on my forehand. But I did not like it enough to replace my Hurricane. K2 is now discontinued but I can still find it on Aliexpress. But I don't love it that much that I want it get it on Aliexpress. Personally if you like K3 and you do well and enjoy...
  17. Any experiences about the Victas V 22 Double Extra?

I just got a sheet over the weekend and today is my first day testing it. I like it quite a bit. Best way to describe it. Kind of catapulty but not too much. The sponge is harder but yet the top sheet is soft. Overall feeling is great on my backhand side. I would say it is harder than Rakza 7...
  18. Price increase at TT11?

In US currency, TT11 has increased a bit but not 25%. Euro is still stronger than USD so I don't know why the USD is less than Euro TT11 website. With Dandoy, due to the exchange rate, when I check out, Dandoy might be more expensive than TT11 by about 5-7%.
  19. Why do only Chinese players use DHS rubbers?

I talked to my clubmate who refuses to buy DHS products. First of all, he is convinced that Hurricane has been updated over the past 20 years but with each update, they did not really rename it. Aftera all, we are only at Hurricane "3" right now. To him, he feels that is somewhat deceptive...
  20. How do you minimize unassembled downtime when boosting?

I wait a couple months to reboost. I retire a rubber only when the top sheet becomes anti. The sponge with each reboost actually becomes softer and more springy. It is a lot of fun to play with that hurricane. So I use the top sheet as the determining factor as to when I retire a rubber. The...
