  1. DHS fans unite!

Ohhhhhh...put a book on it. Got it. I just left it there....hoping it will become flat.....
  2. Tenergy for $42?

I thought even among Viscaria's, one blade can play differently than another. Honestly I do not like my Viscaria so I hope I got a "bad batch."
  3. DHS fans unite!

I have tried to let that thing sit there and it will never go completely flat!!! Maybe it will go flat "a bit" but still harder to glue.
  4. DHS fans unite!

I don't think so. It just makes it even harder to stick it to the blade!!!!
  5. DHS fans unite!

My H3 neo could curl up like that. However, Battle II blue sponge provincial, no way..... Neither would Sanwei Target National, Big Dipper, AK 47, etc. etc.
  6. K3...2.0 vs. Max?

I agree with NextLevel. If you like the sponge the way it is, no need to upgrade from 2.0 to max. I know the coach says it, but coaches are not always right. Most coaches think that they are going to train the next Ma Long so max sponge here and max sponge there. No, 2.0mmg sponge is just...
  7. Most controllable Tenergy rubber?

I have not played with Tenergy 25. I have heard that it is much slower than other Tenergy like 05, 64, 80 and 19. I don't know what the heck Butterfly did to Tenergy 25 to make it so slow. You can buy it if you want. But for 72 USD a sheet, I want my Tenergy fast like 05, 64 and 80. Otherwise...
  8. Tenergy for $42?

I have seen those fake Tenergy on Aliexpress. If they are non-tensor, which is probably the case, I would not buy them even at $11. At that price I would rather buy Mercury II or Sanwei TT88 UltraSpin for around $8-9 with import taxes and shipping included. I like to buy blade clones. For...
  9. Returning to table tennis, lots of change! Did I buy the wrong blade and rubbers?

I grew up using Chinese rubber, Friendship and Globe 999. I guess I am used to it. Hurricane is not terribly popular in my club here in N. America. the club coach almost only sells Butterfly products now. That said, yeah, I guess don't touch hurricane just yet. Rakza 7 has more catapult...
  10. Tenergy for $42?

I don't think you need to be that aggressive with @TensorBackhand From his posts, I know he buys a lot of stuff from Aliexpress. And I know from Aliexpress, a lot of items do have this QR code thing that you can scan with your phone to see if it is authentic. Quite honestly, the stuff are so...
  11. K3...2.0 vs. Max?

You are already K3. Are you using max or 2.0mm. With any rubber, 2.0mm has more control than max sponge. And with any rubber, max sponge has more power. However, for most people with moderately fast blade, a 2.0mm sponge works just fine.
  12. How does Glayzer 09C compare to K3?

I personally support anyone asking questions about the equipment. I just have trouble when people asking the same question when five people already said G-1 is the answer. People who have EJ'ed just know that G-1 and Rakza 7 just would not die..... I personally enjoy answering your questions...
  13. Returning to table tennis, lots of change! Did I buy the wrong blade and rubbers?

Lol, it sounds like I am still the only one telling him to change his equipment. I understand that inner carbon is "not that fast." And yes Glayzer 09c is also "not that fast." But the OP has been away from the sport for 25 years. We need to start with 5-play wood with non-tensor rubber. Lots...
  14. For those over 30yo, what could you have done differently?

I have played Chinese rubbers growing up so I don't find it hard at all. But it is not like I did not experiment with other things when I was a kid. I was playing with 729, Juic 999, Sriver and Mark V. However, I do find most adult beginners should start with non-sticky rubber such as Mark V or...
  15. Proper penhold grip

The first video is correct and straight to the point. When you are doing the grip properly, on your forehand side, your thumb and your middle finger, curled up properly, stabilize the racket and you adjust the angle using your thumb. The index finger is just there, for show. On your backhand...
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Sometimes it is a good thing to take a break from the sport. Sometimes you just need to rethink the sport from a different angle and come to a different understanding. I took multiple breaks from ping pong. I don't think those breaks necessarily hurt me in the long run.
  17. Rubber alternative for FH & BH, cheaper

I only tried Ak 47 blue which is not as fast as red. But really, I need the tensor on my backhand. I can certainly see the appeal of the Chinese rubber. It is linear and you get more out of it, the harder you hit. And for goodness sake, I use Hurricane on my forehand. However, my backhand is...
  18. Nittaku Acoustic users

Verdict: dont get Acoustic outer carbon. It was in 2019 when I got Acoustic outer carbon. No inner carbon back then. Do I regret it? Well, I have one hell of a fast blade in my stock just in case I need one hell of a fast blade. Obviously I have moved onto other carbon blades that are of the...
  19. Advice to improve my game.

Ok, not to make things more confusing. To me, Blahness is saying you need a "neutralising" contact to loop backspin effectively. My argument is, if you can relax and whip the ball, that is the "neutralising" contact you are looking for. So when you say, "If swing speed is low then racket angle...
  20. What happens if ball is wet in a tournament?

Nay, the opponent is probably sweating and intentionally wet the ball to score a point. lol :)
