  1. I'm starting to test Sanwei Target Pro Blue

Don't tempt me. I have one more sheet of black Sanwei Target National and a sheet of Battle II provincial blue sponge. I am trying to not rip their packages open yet. I like my hurricane. I am currently trying to focus on trying different ESN soft backhand rubbers (my Victas V>15 Limber and...
  2. DHS fans unite!

Welcome to the club! What rubber were you using on your forehand? I am used to 39 degree DHS 3 neo. The sponge is really not that hard. I think DHS degree is different than ESN degree. But I have tried a couple 50 degree ESN rubbers and I don't like it. They are too hard for me. With H3 neo...
  3. DHS fans unite!

I have a sheet of G888 from TT11. It is very very tacky. I put it on my defensive blade with long pips on the backside. I really do think H3 (and H3 neo) has some catapult property. Now that I have tried Big Dipper 38 degree and 40 degree, CJ8000, AK47 Blue, Rxton 1 special edition, Rxton 3...
  4. Post your latest EJ purchase

Got it. thank you for the reminder. Yes they are vacuum sealed so I think they will be good for a while. Plus I have like 30 blades so they will eventually find a home somewhere. And if not, I am semi kidding about selling them for three times the amount but I can always unload them at my club...
  5. Red or Black rubber on FH

For Chinese rubber, black because they are more tacky. I don't think black or red matters for Butterfly or ESN rubbers. I used black Hurricane on my forehand side but due to it not being tacky anymore, I have been buying TG3 red and stick it on my forehand side
  6. Timeout tips?

I like to call time out in between serves. that's why I used 10-8 as an example. If you are up to serving, you can plan out the next two serves. Maybe one serve is to surprise the opponent, like a kick serve. The other serve will be, say, a very safe half-long half short backspin serve so you...
  7. Timeout tips?

You only get one time out per match. I usually use it for mental reasons. Tactically, either you get it by now (at that point in the match) or you don't. Physically, both players are tired. So what is left is to reset yourself mentally for the next couple of points. Maybe also remind yourself of...
  8. How many layers of glue?

If I cannot play like Timo Ball and I cannot use his equipment (cannot tame his carbon blade plus Dignics on both sides), at least I use the same table tennis glue as he does. lol :) :)
  9. How many layers of glue?

Lol I got my 500 ml bottle from Megaspin for $80. Apparently it is out of stock there. I am not a big fan of Butterfly products. But I was desperate trying to glue Rakza 7 soft and C-1 onto my blade. That darn Revolution 3 regular (the thinnest) glue just would not stick. So I had to get a 50ml...
  10. Best alternative to dignics 05

Just look at the link below. Some people insisted that Dignics 05 is irreplaceable. Some people listed a bunch of alternatives. This topic is somewhat controversial. I personally don't own any Dignics products. I still own some Tenergy fx products. Dignics 05 vs Xiom Vega X
  11. Timeout tips?

If you were up 10-5 a minute ago and now it is 10-8, you call a time out to see if you can regain the momentum and close out the set (or the match).
  12. How many layers of glue?

By the way, when the glue is running (i.e. more thin), it takes longer to dry. Butterfly Free Chack Pro II is relatively thicker and it dries faster to me. I can wait 24 hours for my booster to take a hold and dry. I have trouble waiting for more than 30 minutes to glue the rubber to my blade...
  13. How many layers of glue?

Yeah I would not recommend normal viscosity. Yes medium viscosity would be a good idea.
  14. Post your latest EJ purchase

Not EJ'ing. But since DHS changed its top sheet for H3 and H3 neo, I have been stocking up on TG3 neo and TG2 neo. Red or Black, I don't care. 2.15mm sponge or 2.2mm sponge, I don't care. I have counted 43 sheets in the stack and more might be on the way. I am not going to wait until DHS messes...
  15. TABLE TENNIS MADNESS | TTD TEAM | TTDSL S2 | Ep 2

I think the league is stronger than the previous season. Other teams simply are loaded up more this year. Maybe more top players want to play for publicity purpose. Let us be honest. Table tennis prize money is miniscule compared to other sports. So to get top players to join the league...
  16. How many layers of glue?

If you get the normal viscosity (which is the thinnest) you should apply two layers on the blade and three layers on the sponge. It is a bit running so you need to apply a couple layers to make sure the sponge and the blade stick, especially if the blade is laquered. Don't buy into the hype...
  17. DHS fans unite!

That's why I am tempted to try LAC but still I am sticking with my hurricane. Buying in bulk, my hurricane is $18-$19 a piece. If LAC drops its price to $15, maybe I will try it. Otherwise, just sticking with hurricane commercial
  18. Table Tennis Clothing

You don't need to spend $50 on a t-shirt. I visit tabletennis11.com weekly to find weekly special on their shirts and shorts. For example, the Donic clothing below is on sales for $22 a change. I did not buy it but just letting you know...
  19. I think I have enough black Dignics 09c for a while

I have not tried D09c on my forehand and like you, I probably would feel that H3N is better for my forehand anyway. I am tempted to buy D05 for my backhand but not pulling the trigger. I gotta use us other soft ESN rubbers before I splurge on Butterfly!
  20. I think I have enough black Dignics 09c for a while

Lol, you ONLY got 9 of them at $55 a piece. The OCD in me said you need to buy one more piece to make it 10. Lol!!! Congrats on scoring such a deal! Many top players are using D09C on their forehand since they discovered that, yes, having tacky or semi-tacky rubber on their forehand side does...
