Try hard to look at the angle of the paddle and the amount of surface area. Also look hard at the direction of paddle when it stabs the ball. More towards the tip of the paddle tends to indicate side backspin unless the motion is really sideways and more behind the ball. More towards the...
  2. Why some player dint like anti and pimple player

The slow release of the ball. Throws off my timing especially on pushes. Sometimes the arc does as well, as it comes through the table with more spin than the arc tends to communicate until I adjust.
  3. FS: 2 Stiga Clipper CR WRBs and a brand new sheet of Hurricane

This is off topic but congrats on your new set up. I see you are ready for the big time!
  4. What style of player or rating group below your level give you the most trouble?

People cheer missed dunks in NBA games too. At some point, it's best to develop ways to handle the pressure than to act as if it's a bad thing to want to win a zero sum game.
  5. Why some player dint like anti and pimple player

This is so true it is not funny. Whenever I see someone using Hurricane or Tenergy, I want to complain. Seriously. Especially Hurricane. As for spin, even world class players who have been playing all their lives sometimes make mistakes in spin read on serve return. If it can happen to...

Possible but I think she wanted me to release the upper arm. My stroke was highly forearm snap oriented. The turns have more to do with bad knees not allowing the rotation. But I do the best I can.

They probably just skipped the video, the series is old. Everyone needs a backhand loop, especially vs backspin, in modern play to reduce the footwork demands unless their countering game is ridiculously high level. I agree one can play well without a backhand loop close to the table but it...

The guy hasn't responded but the simplest way to put it is that Hridoy is trying to avoid and brush the ball with a thin racket angle to generate spin. He needs to learn to hit the ball with a turning motion to generate spin or he will continue to whiff the ball.

The other 1% would have pushed it, including Ma Long on another day.

  11. New Kim Jung Hoon Blade, Lighter weight????

IT's an oversized head blade - kinda similar to Korbel. I learned that gluing rubbers on it.

Not according to your review. Your memory must be faulty. http://mytabletennis.net/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=66293

Not saying my technique is great (it is obviously not, and some people say that I hit the ball on the backhand when I am not - I just come over the ball extremely, which may or may not be your cup of tea depending on your technique), but you can see that I do not close my paddle to spin - I have...

Is that really true though - is using the wrist a stable looping stroke? I think focusing on putting the elbow in the right position helps a lot even if you intend to use the wrist. Experiment with it and let me know what happens.

Look at the original shot from Liang and you will see why he hooked it.

Most close to the table loops can be played with the elbow alone so I am not sure what is not convincing you. Adjust the racket angle to compensate for the spin. If you are used to swinging from the elbow to play your backhand, then it is in principle no different from the forehand, move your...
  17. China Super League 2017

You need to watch more table tennis. The reason why that shot isn't common at the pro level is that pros know how to handle the sidespin.

Both. Obviously, she doesn't mean chiquita, but my interpretation of her point is that it is too easy to loop the ball long or lose control if your stroke is too large and powerful. It is best to compensate with racket angles and maintain control of placement. With training and good footwork...

You didn't obviously take my suggestion but it's okay. Your stroke still looks fine in multiball, it is more important to see how it falls apart in a match. Doing 25 strokes like this is a waste of time for diagnosing serious errors unless it is similar to the pressure you face in a match or...
  20. New Kim Jung Hoon Blade, Lighter weight????

I bought two that were 88-89g - I think 90+ is an outlier. I think the blade is discontinued and they now have the Nexy Arche - KJH is now Andro sponsored at his new club.
