  1. Cheap rubbers - Am i missing something?

Interesting. would you mind sharing what newer gambler rubbers in particular share these characteristics?
  2. Cheap rubbers - Am i missing something?

I absolutely love the H3N commercial for my FH as well. (again, lightly boosted with baby oil). I switched from the 40 degrees to the 39 degrees for control and feedback, both IMO is an amazing rubber. I go back and forth between H3N and TG3N for fun (high throw vs. low throw, both great). I've...
  3. Chinese Pro Equipment - Rubbers and Blades

Hi Chen Chen, thank you for this knowledgable and insightful post. A lot of good information. I saw this post pop up after I created a new post and I realize i should have asked you in particular this question intead of creating a new post. What is your take on this...
  4. Cheap rubbers - Am i missing something?

I'm currently playing with yinhe mercury 2 a $5 USD boosted mildly with baby oil (sssh...dont tell anybody), and I'm actually surprised how much control and gears this rubber has and how linear it is. I'm not a great TT player by any means, but I have decent fundamentals. On a W-6 blade this...
  5. Baby oil boosting for Chinese rubbers - an extremely cheap way to add a little zip.

From my experience the v14 is defintely a looper's blade. The face of the blade is a bit thin and flexy, so the blade favors loops over drives further away from the table (this doesnot mean you can't drive with this blade, it just feels unnatural to me). The carbokev layer does ensures that the...
  6. World Ping Pong championship 2019

So Ive been watching highlights of the 2019 ping pong championships and I have to say I'm really glad to see good TT players competing. The rallies are long fast and furious. The crowd seams to really be getting into it too which IMO is probably a good thing for TT in the long run (like a...
  7. Glass Fiber table tennis blades

Yinhe Earth 3VB (allround+ off-) is my go-to fiberglass blade. Granted i havent tried any other fiberglass blades but i don't think i need to. I would also like to add I love this blade. It offers me much better feedback than the w-6 and it turned me off from carbon blades.
  8. Blade for absolute starter

I misread then. I take it back, I can't suggest one way or another then. I was around 30 when I decided to get serious (I'm 37 now). My journey in TT has been a very haphazard one. I realized too late the importance of an allround blade. I stick to All+ or Off- now, anything more is a dumb idea...
  9. Blade for absolute starter

I didnt realize how much I hated my stiga supreme until i tried a custom blade. Having good feedback from your blade is compelling experience.
  10. Blade for absolute starter

guys, the fact that he has a TTD account and is posing this question already shows me he isnt looking for a premade to toy with. Him asking here to me shows he wants to learn, not **** around. I agree with the opinion that looking for a custom bat that offers better feedback and aids in...

  14. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

I did an English translation of the page, and translation for Dignics and Tenergy from Japanese to English is "Digunikusu" and "Tenaji". None you can ever make me say it any other way from now on. Digunikusu and Tenaj.
  15. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

His phrasing is odd but his message is on point. Hard to read yet easy to understand... I feel like I'm experiencing cognitive dissonance.
  16. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

Watching the comparison video I think they're demonstrating also the difference in speed, not just the arc. The ball not only appears to propel farther but Also travels faster, so the 3.4% dies appear to offer a decent advantage.
  17. Red on FH or BH and Black on FH or BH

Correct me if I'm Wrong, but everyone here who has complained about DHS H3/H3N losing tack have been using red ones. I've gone through several sheets of H3N and TG3N that have remained tacky for well over a year (one H3N in particular lasting for 3+). As such, I'm inclined to use black on my...
  18. How an inverted setup works : explanation by Stefan Feth

The hyperbolic examples, such as paddle with glue and paddle like a cannon, or the paper thin sponge vs the foot thick sponge, really help you not only conceptualize the principles, but also recall the correct behavior for given scenarios. It becomes more about intuition and less about...
