  1. Wcq nailed again. Most shameless pro on tour currently

It's not that difficult, just place 2 small cameras on either side of the net post. The ball has to be visible the entire time throughout the service, and this will be monitored via video feed by a service judge.
  2. China Smash 2025

LGY's FH has some technical issues because he defaults to curving around the ball which leads to less power (but weirder sidespin curves). He compensated for it by smart tactics and lefty angles, but eventually everyone was exploiting these weaknesses. But yeah, to say he is not a successful...
  3. China Smash 2025

Nah his FH really improved a lot over the past years. His issue sometimes is that he always defaults to spin the ball more rather than looping through it. It is a weird habit which basically originated from when he was losing to Ma Long and Fan Zhendong due to a lack of consistency (he was...
  4. China Smash 2025

From what I observe with Harimoto, he always prioritises (habit) not making a mistake with his FH so he is always going for a lot of spin in his contact instead of just going forward through the ball boldly. This is especially when he faces unfamiliar opponents. He is perfectly capable of...
  5. What to do when opponent keeps blocking to Backhand

Imo the perfect solution is to learn a deadly BH down the line. Few options - punch down the line, normal BH spin or my favourite which is the fade BH. Once you use this you force the opponent to use their FH to take the ball, which gives you ample opportunity to activate your FH loop.
  6. Wcq nailed again. Most shameless pro on tour currently

Badminton has service judges who monitor the height of services like a hawk using specialised equipment. TT is just.... sad
  7. On bending knees and squatting

+1. Another good cue is to stick your butt out. Pretty much slight knee bend + decent forward lean is sufficient.
  8. dignics 09c vs dignics 05

Dont just think about looping. With short Serve receive with D05 on FH, you have to switch mindsets to flick or sideswipe a lot since the push sucks due to its bounciness. Whereas 09c is really good with short pushes (as well as the other receives). The other thing for loops, with D05 you...
  9. How to get the upper hand in bh-bh exchanges?

It sounds like you probably need to drill fast close to table rallies with lots of spin and placement variation and focus on holding the table position no matter what is coming at you. The ability to get a lot of spin back (mainly with fingers and forearm action) with a very short stroke...
  10. Quadri Aruna losing to LP

See guys - pips or some other weird material is probably the only shot of ever beating a pro lol.
  11. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

The new one is a lot more body powered which makes it more consistent and powerful. But i feel like the right foot is slightly a bit too forward - it is a quite BH dominant stance which would make it fairly difficult to switch to FH quickly or even getting out of jams on elbow balls.
  12. Chen Hao loses to LP penhold player

Haha this was so funny as I remember losing to my practice partner who plays almost the same style lol, and in almost the same ways....
  13. “Streets Won’t Forget” Players

Chen Qi for his outrageous no fear shotmaking
  14. Looking For Feedback On 3rd Ball Attack

First thing, the weight transfer during service + the recovery looks excellent! With the BH loop, I think you are also loading on your left hip very well, but you seem to be a little stuck there, and the power is not really transferred to the ball efficiently. What will really make a big...
  15. I've trained with 20+ top coaches in the world and I still suck :) - AMA

I had a brief look, OP is quite solid but the serves just ain't nasty enough. I reckon if he trained some nasty af, highly deceptive and well placed serves he will crack 2000 easy. Playing without good serves in TT is like bringing a knife into a gunfight. Tbh, it is hard to win in TT just by...
  16. What's wrong with my loop?

@coolchap i have a feeling that this will benefit you a lot. What I noticed is that you are forced to brush/hit very hard in order to get the ball above the net which makes your margin of error quite low and it is hard to use such a stroke in game. Much better to start slow so that when you face...
  17. The Inverse — A reversed frypan🍳 backhand

It's basically the Truls Moregardh fake (ie no spin) BH opening "loop", except applied everywhere lol. The guy could make it even better if he used more body and less arm. I also use this extensively against LP/anti players, they cant do anything against it because it is floaty with no spin...
  18. Best way to return short no-spin serve?

    Depends where it is served...
  19. 3rd ball attack variant

If the guy can return whatever, it means the quality of the serve is not enough. Also after long fast topspin serves you need to take a step back from the table and be prepared to engage in 2 wing topspin battle. It cannot be just using FH whole table. Also you need to think short stroke...
