With FH, you have to fade loop it or at least do an almost pure topspin loop going from back to top of ball (never around the left side of the ball, that is when you will eat the sidespin full on). Careful with the top/bottom component, you have to read it carefully.

Yes, you are right. I would expect that defence and counters would be weaker due to the greater instability in the grip. Most probably it is gonna be amazing for serve/receive and variations and attacking play, but is not so good at the topspin rally. A bit like penhold in a sense.
