  1. Weird playing stlye or smooth playing style?

Not in those words. But you said if you wanted to improve your forehand, don't copy Ma Long's? This is where I partly agree. I agree it's not ideal to simply say "let's change my forehand loop to imitate Ma Long's" - Changing a stroke is a lengthy lengthy process (and ideally needs a coach)...
  2. Weird playing stlye or smooth playing style?

I agree in parts to this.......But for people who don't have access to a coach, or would like to refine a part of their technique..... Watching videos of Pro players is a very good way to do this. No.... Watching 100's of hours of Ma Long will not make you play like Ma Long - But it's certainly...
  3. New DHS Online Shop for Europeans

UPDATE: Looks like it's not just Europe who get to benefit: We have had a lot of messages. We will be shipping to the following countries: America, Canada, Oceania, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, All countries in Europe
  4. New DHS Online Shop for Europeans

I don't follow the Pro's equipment - But that's interesting! Getting back to the DHS Europe shop, I'll be interested to see what they sell (and at what price!) My gut feeling is it'll be 1.5 times more expensive than the Chinese equivalent.
  5. Back Playing Table-Tennis

Haha, that's OK - TT365 is another good record of how you are improving. As for the serve, I'm not sure I'd have the guts to do it in a game (certainly not that close to the edge!). If a lefty has a decent backhand - It'll be flying in the opposite corner from where you served in no time...
  6. New DHS Online Shop for Europeans

Interesting! Do DHS sell the blue sponge H3 directly in China? I was always led to believe it wasn't available (unless you go through 3rd party sites). Edit: It also says Ma Long uses H3 Neo on the backhand - Is that true?
  7. Back Playing Table-Tennis

Congrats Pabloh! You should start getting some recordings of practice - It'll be good to track the progress!
  8. Weird playing stlye or smooth playing style?

Get some video..... Post it online, and then we can give advice :)
  9. Back Playing Table-Tennis

Tell me about it, trying to balance out people's ability is a minefield - I might make a thread to see if we can get some kind of benchmark between different countries to compare ability! Is there any video of you playing online? The only reason I ask, is I think your advice (whilst it's...
  10. Back Playing Table-Tennis

It sounds like you have the perfect mindset for the sport! As you said, losing is fine - Everyone loses at times. But not playing as well as you could is the most annoying thing! I think a lot of people on this forum will have a hard time imagining the 5th div of the Liverpool league (I see...
  11. Back Playing Table-Tennis

Hey Brimbaz, what level do you play?
  12. Back Playing Table-Tennis

Hey Pabloh, As you mentioned when you first posted.... It is an absolute minefield out there. I think people will see certain rubbers as "outdated" or "poor value for money", because all of the new technologies in sponge and rubber, are designed for the very best players (who can utilise the...
  13. Back Playing Table-Tennis

I know what you mean, but “simply a steal” means it’s really good value. What you want to say is something along the lines of “daylight robbery”, which means it’s expensive for what it is. Sriver in the UK isn’t too expensive, and it’s similar in cost to Mark V. There are are a number of...
  14. Back Playing Table-Tennis

If you were playing at a medium to high level, then yes, I'd agree. If you are playing at a lower level, then the slower pace of the Sriver FX will be far more valuable than the speed of the Mark V. I've seen so many lower level players stick on quick rubbers because "they are the best rubber"...
  15. Back Playing Table-Tennis

Oops - Valid point NL. I should have said Sriver FX (forgive me.... It's been a while since I've donned the classic Srivers!)
  16. Back Playing Table-Tennis

Hey Pabloh, welcome back to the sport. Are you still playing in Liverpool? Regarding the blade/rubbers - I would lock away that Primorac Carbon blade someone safe and secure! You'll not be needing that for a long time - To give you an idea, I used to play with a Schlager Carbon blade (very...
  17. Around the bottle challenge!

Bet Thiago took a few hours......
  18. Brand New TT Club in Sacramento USA Forum Meetups?

It is a very different culture indeed - A lot of the UK guys focus on their rating, but the local leagues add an element of competition which you don't get from an individual tournament. But..... I guess it's very hard to change the mindset of people! Even in the UK we need a shuffle around...
  19. Around the bottle challenge!

Ha! We didn't count the attempts (thank god!) - It took about 3 minutes for both of us I'd say!
