  1. Pimples showing on Chinese rubbers...

Looks like its stretched for the most part but you also got some wear markings from the contact spot. Nothing to worry about
  2. Pimples showing on Chinese rubbers...

Pimples showing through the topsheet? Could be wear, could be that the rubber was stretched during application, could be low QC standards for regular Chinese manufactured rubbers. Mercury 2 in particular is pretty cheap and the poor QC of commercial grade DHS rubbers have long been a discussed...
  3. Help with Jpen and short pips for attack

Only tried it for a short time but it felt just fine for a short pips. I prefer more dynamic German pips for single sided penhold but thats just me
  4. STIGA New cybershape: CYBERSHAPE WAVY

I haven't tried either of those blades, but I think it is easily faster than Viscaria family blades, and also might be a bit faster than my FZDSALCs. Wavy has a very transparent and natural feeling, a very crispy impact but it has some softness, but to me it was a bit stiff feeling sometimes...
  5. Oil absorbed unevenly

Thats the area you want to hit the ball with, if its evenly absorbed into the strike zone then I don't see the issue. But its also why you should use thin layers that won't run or drip
  6. Help with Jpen and short pips for attack

For short pips hitting I recommend the round head 987, it reduces power because the head is not as long as the traditional square style head but it increases maneuverability close to the table. The 982 I tried was extremely hard feeling and very heavy, nothing like real Hinoki, but it was really...
  7. Help with Jpen and short pips for attack

If the budget is limited, why bother buying a new blade when the subject already has one? All the Yinhe jpen blades are thick and stiff and good for smashing already, just get him a short pips rubber so he can save and also not have to adjust to a new blade while he learns how to use the pips
  8. Young Chinese defender Li Tianyang. Equipment?

How long is semi-long to you? 563 definitely seems very much like a medium-short pimple to me, not half-long like Do Knuckle or 755-2
  9. New Sanwei blade! Sanwei Dragon Dance Inner ALC

Interestingly enough, for whatever reason, Garchomp cannot learn Dragon Dance 🤯
  10. Which 7ply wood blade after Clipper?

Koki Wood is ~6.6mm, regular Swat is ~6mm, I don't think they are very similar. Maybe you're thinking of Swat Power which is also ~6.6mm Regular Swat is much thinner than Clipper, I don't think they are very similar. IMO the regular Swat shares more similarities with Stratus Powerwood and...
  11. New Butterfly All Around Blade

I wouldn't really call Bugller a short pip, in terms of behavior it reminds me a lot more of a medium pip because it has a lower friction topsheet designed to kill spin rather than produce it. I felt it was pretty difficult to play with as a lot of my attacking shots fell into the net, at least...
  12. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80

I tried NH8-80P (unboosted) on bh of one of my FZDSALC and I was kind of disappointed. Spin is good but the sponge feels too soft for me. At least its easy to keep the ball on the table. Cut weight with no glue is 51g. Maybe I'll try it on a softer blade to see if it improves the response, but I...
  13. Interested in playing long pips.

DTecS and P4 are on opposite sides of the long pip spectrum, P4 is very slow and grippy and DTecS is fast and rather slick. I think you should go straight for the most popular chopping long pip, Curl P1, it balances reversal with grip very well. There are lots of other long pips that do other...
  14. Dignics 80 best rubber ever? Vs Ternergy 05

D80 feels like it has less spin, but its also more stable and predictable than T05. Imo T05 is better to loop and add spin with but D80 easier to gauge impact and control where you hit
  15. Dignics 80 best rubber ever? Vs Ternergy 05

I like D80 but I really can't say it does any one thing particularly well. It loses in spin and arc to D05/D09C and it also loses to D64 in speed and spin-insensitivity. Its not as explosive or as reactive as T05 either. I think D80 is the control/balance Dignics, it is easier to use than...
  16. Which 7ply wood blade after Clipper?

My favorite 7 ply wood right now is the Xiom Solo. I generally mesh better with the harder Koto outer ply blades than Limba, Solo is right up my alley. I do also like the Yasaka Extra Special but it is a bit much in terms of hardness and directness for me sometimes.
  17. i dont think chinese rubbers do most people any favours

Turbo Blue is still heavier. Cut to standard Butterfly headsize it can weigh as much as 60g
  18. Is this an original Timo Bill ALC?

Fake 100%. Build quality is far off from a real sample
  19. What are the differences of Hurricanes that are Provincial and ones that are National?

Asides from the price, I think National is just a better quality product- the Nationals I've received have on average looked better and more consistent than the Provincials. Playing-wise I'd be hard-pressed to tell the difference, the end product is still Hurricane after all.
