Put together a racket and tested today together with my current setup: Blade: Neottec Amagi carbon FH: Nittaku H3 pro turbo Orange BH: 729 dragon F medium soft I did this mostly to compare the blade with my other blades and H3 pro turbo with H3 provincial. I used the dragon F as a...
  2. Fan zhendong, Ma Long and Cheng Meng announces Retirement from WTT/ITTF

Things will sort themselfs out. There is always going to be someone who is not happy. Sometimes justifiable sometimes not. Theirs is always somebody behind to take the place, nobody is irreplaceable. That said you can’t squeeze water out of stones… Cheers L-zr
  3. Us EJ’s upholds the entire TT equipment market 🙃

    🤣 Don’t believe You, sorry. 🤣 Cheers L-zr
  4. Us EJ’s upholds the entire TT equipment market 🙃

Sorry but I don’t believe you, elementary school kids 4 sheets a year, no not many kids use that much rubber. Semi pro’s are normally equipment sponsored… Tiny Taiwan must be special… Cheers L-zr
  5. Us EJ’s upholds the entire TT equipment market 🙃

It’s sad but if we stopped EJ’ing the market go bust. I can see that most of us are EJ’s so keep it up. (OK to take a break every once in a while though) 😇😉🤣 Cheers L-zr
  6. Are inner carbon blades an exception to "don't go carbon yet"?

No, its no must, Just make sure You get a blade rated with low speed and not too stiff. I can mention two of them right here and now. Nittaku S-CZ and Donic Appelgren WC 89. They are actually outers, but not too fast at all and somewhat flexy. They have some kind of Zylon outer layer with a...
  7. ZJK blades discontinued

I'll be glad to get rid of the banner at bottom of the forum :D But they will probably fill that space with something as meaningless (to me) Cheers L-zr
  8. San Francisco looking for training partner.

Wow this thread became so much thinner now 😉 Cheers L-zr
  9. Yinhe 970 xx C (short review)

A bit subjective, but bounce a ball on the blade without rubbers and listen to the sound. When the sound is close to the sound of the middle it is within the sweet spot . It gives you at least an idea. But in reality its just 2-3 cm in diameter. Cheers L-zr
  10. Fan zhendong, Ma Long and Cheng Meng announces Retirement from WTT/ITTF

Don't You worry, there be new golden boys... Cheers L-zr
  11. If you got anything table tennis related for Christmas…

Haven’t got it yet it’s in transit. It will be a while before I test it. I don’t have a Chinese blade yet and I saw it had a hinoki top sheet, Canadian (probably plain old cypress but still) I saw it on @mocker88 Christmas sale. I can give a review on the craftsmen ship when it arrives but you...
  12. Need advice for a allround+ blade with a big handle

That’s a great idea, order directly from soulspin. I also have a handle size problem, not huge but I prefer a bigger size. I also like spruce or hinoki top layer with a hard layer under, and there should be a little flex. Almost all my Nittaku’ s have too small handles but as you say it’s...
  13. Need advice for a allround+ blade with a big handle

Interesting, I think new impulse 6.5 feels dead. Try grip tape to expand the handle it works great for me. Two great blades made by soulspin and are almost identical are Nittaku S-CZ and Donic Appelgren WC 89. The new impulse 6.5 is made by the same company and all of them have spruce as an...
  14. Traditional Penhold [Jpen] Community-RPB or TPB.

Here we have s collection of all styles, pretty much the same as in the real world. Statistically there should be a few Jpen players. I play shakehand myself and don’t know much about the difference between jpen and cpen except equipment wise. I think someone will chime in eventually. Be...
  15. Darker Hinoki or Kiri 1 ply

I think another question is. Does Kiri make good 1 ply’s? I never heard of it. Cheers L-zr
  16. Dignics 05 vs Tenergy 05 Hard

Yeah, but they are beautiful blades, I got some Nittaku Mayabi ’s there beautiful too, but not so easy to play with. I can kind of understand… Cheers L-zr
  17. Dignics 05 vs Tenergy 05 Hard

Gozo also remember that 1 ply’s are not really great for looping, way too stiff. It requires very good technique. If I was you I would either try a less stiff blade or go for fuller contact. 1 ply’s are are great for topspin drives and full contact loops. But the speed they generate makes even...
  18. Dignics 05 vs Tenergy 05 Hard

The best brushers are tacky rubbers. The best full contacts are Tenrgies. I haven’t tested T05H but regular T05 wants full contact for sure. Brushes are not as efficient as with H3 for sure… Cheers L-zr
  19. If you got anything table tennis related for Christmas…

I got myself a blade (Haitian HC52), a shirt and a pair of shorts from @mocker88. Our mail service is slow so I haven’t got it yet. It will be a while until I get use the blade, but I want to stack up on blades with hinoki or spruce top sheets. Cheers L-zr
  20. Hu Heming and his latest video on equipment

Not so much arrogant as ”he talks and talks and talks…” I didn’t have the energy to watch the whole thing. I have my own process it works perfectly and the rubber last for at least o while session. 1) I use H3 prov 39 Orange. Seamoon yellow and Revolution 3 medium viscosity. 2) I use 2 to 3...
