85 g for the blade and a total weight of 185 is ideal for me. It should be slow and not too stiff. The power should be from the player not from the equipment. Anyway nice work… Cheers L-zr

It depends on the surface. If it’s too smooth the glue won’t stick. I always use a fine sandpaper and rough it up just a tiny bit… Cheers L-zr

Spruce is softer so it has longer dwell/grab time and it creates better spin due to this. If you only have hinoki in the top layer it will not contribute much to the springiness. For wood layer under so much rubber it’s just physically impossible. What you feel is the whole package, Entire blade...

Seriously, You don’t need to change or reboost rubbers that often. Maximum twice a year and even that is too much… The rubbers get a little worse but it still very good and the change is gradual so you get used to it. If he wants to reboost he can do it himself. Cheers L-zr

Teach him to do the rebooting himself. At 11 he should be able to do both this and gluing. Cheers L-zr

Try H3, but expect to hit really hard for true speed. It is the best rubber for brushed loops, not so good for full contact… Great control in the slow game and open ups and flicks are an easy. The only thing is you break your shoulder from position 3 😇… Cheers L-zr
