  8. Is it possible to find a better blade than the Septear ?

If the grip is only bad thing, try grip tape. My favorite is butterfly, it adds about 5g. I also think Nittaku (Japanese blades in general) has mostly too skinny handles. Their best blades are (I think) made by soulspin with a spruce top. I love the basaltec inner, but this one is really...
  9. Do Professional players apply their rubbers?

Sorry, but that was a looong time ago, these days you can sniff and dream all you want…. 😉 Have a beer instead… Cheers L-zr
  10. Anton Kallberg and his viscaria special

I find most handles (FL) too whimpy and I don't have big hands. I love Donic, the way they compare equipment is excellent but most handles are just too thin. It could be fixed with grip tape on my Appelgren WC 89 because of the lightness of the blade but sometimes it would just make it too...
  11. DHS Hurricane 8-20 provincial is available in China

Less catapult, but higher top speed. You would need to hit harder. It may be an advantage, or not… Cheers L-zr
  12. Sealing and gluing problems, please help

And you must let the sealer harden properly, I use regular varnish and let it sit overnight, then sand. If it’s to soft when you attempt to sand it it will become a sticky mess… Try “medium viscosity” next time, I think “normal viscosity” is too thin. Maybe it dissapeared inte the sponge...
  13. “Sealing effects performance”…. Is there any proof?

I always seal my blades, and if the wood is old, thin and brittle it is important. It’s also important if the rubber sits for a very long time. You may get away with it, but if the top layer is Limba, Hinoki or spruce I would recommend it. Cheers L-zr
  14. Paris Olympic Games 2024

Yes, one has to remember, sports doesn’t always turn out “as expected”… And anybody is just as as there and then everything else is unimportant… If you didn’t win… you just didn’t win, maybe next time. That’s the beaty of sports… Cheers L-zr
  15. Paris Olympic Games 2024

It’s disgusting isn’t it. You win a few and you loose a few. I think virtually all players did a good job. I haven’t seen a last few rounds this good for a long time… Cheers L-zr
  16. What does “NEO” mean in DHS rubbers?

NEO generally stands for, new and refined upgrade based on something old. Cheers L-zr
  17. DHS fans unite!

I can relate to this, I would have liked an H8-80 on BH, but unfortunately it’s too heavy. On FH I don’t compromise. Cheers L-zr
  18. Be honest guys: you don't need carbon blades

In reality the difference is that with carbon you can control weight, stiffness, hardness and thickness better. But just because it’s a carbon blade doesn’t make it better. The right allwood blade in my opinion is better, but it’s hard to find. If you have the one hang on to it… I have a...
  19. First Hurricane attempt

The only drawback for me is playing from position 3 (> 3 m behind), where I need more power. There I miss an ESN or Tenergy. Cheers L-zr
  20. Yasaka Sweden Extra vs Andro Timber 5 OFF/ALL/s

I think It definitely helps. Just don’t accept every word in every comment. You learn what terminology to use and what characteristics to look for. But of course an EJ is better, preferably a Ttdaily regular… Cheers L-zr
