  1. Please recommend long pips rubber for me!

Yes I admit I am trolling a bit and having fun even right now. I haven't had as much fun that I had last night just wowing everyone and creating absolute magic on the table. It was especially fun to troll my inverted/LP penholder friend with some of these shots to give him a taste of his own...
  2. Please recommend long pips rubber for me!

Honestly there are quite a few anti-fun uncool ppl on this forum who take everything way too seriously especially with something that they dont earn any kind of serious $$$ from.
  3. Please recommend long pips rubber for me!

There's no consideration for this because there are no pro players who chose to play with this style obviously and ITTF is aimed at pro players. I did a search of "free arm" in the Handbook. It is defined in 2.5.6 and only used in 2.6.5 for the sole purpose to disallow hiding the ball with the...
  4. Please recommend long pips rubber for me!

In the context of service, it is indeed "not carrying the racket" (the racket which will be used to serve the ball). In interpreting rules you have to look at the intention of the law not just mincing words. The intention of this clause is to prevent the free arm from hiding the serve, it has...
  5. Please recommend long pips rubber for me!

Yes you're being quite narrow minded for someone who is "pro diversity." If you're talking about free arm and racket arm in the context of service, the free arm is the arm that is not used to serve the ball (for eg if I contact the ball with right hand, my left hand is automatically the free...
  6. Please recommend long pips rubber for me!

I actually write with my left hand (not sure why I started TT with my right which was a stupid decision), so it's maybe a bit easier for me because I'm a natural left hander. I also play the piano at a high level and used to compete in international competitions, something that requires a lot of...
  7. Please recommend long pips rubber for me!

It's easy, if I go to a competition I will just clarify with the organisers first and if they are so narrow minded then just screw the competition lol. Or I can just compete with my standard double inverted setup. It's not as if I forgot how to play with 2x inverted shakehand. I am not...
  8. Please recommend long pips rubber for me!

There isnt a specific rule banning 2 rackets, so it is legal for sure. The ITTF rules also rule against boosting, hidden serves and illegal pips treatments but yet they are rampant in all competitions (yes, even the pro competitions). For someone who is "pro diversity" with all sorts of racket...
  9. Please recommend long pips rubber for me!

It's not an illegal style. I've asked around and there are actually ppl in China who actually play with 2 rackets in tournaments (though from the videos they don't appear to be high level players). Chill with the results - it's like day 1 of a style switch and I already got a game off one of...

This is why I think the topspin flick is actually inferior to the no spin flick on the FH. The topspin actually makes the return easier for the opponent because they can just borrow the topspin to increase their landing percentages. A fast nospin flick sometimes with residual underspin can be...
  11. Please recommend long pips rubber for me!

I was just fooling around with it and to be honest this is insane. When my Victas Spectol S1 sheet arrives, I can actually even do SP RPB hitting to their wide FH (bet they didn't even think it was possible lmao) or even chiquita with my lefty penhold. Or twiddle and make it a true LP chiquita...
  12. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Yes this is the most fun I've ever had playing table tennis in quite a while! The combos that this allows for is like unlimited. Wait till I get a hold of my SP, it'll be double the fun!
  13. Please recommend long pips rubber for me!

It's still there I think xD. I have no idea how to change it 😕 anyway a lot of ppl here told me how a lot of "skill" went into LP play, so this quote is still valid ;)

Lol I don't care now. They can use two rackets too - it is highly difficult because most ppl aren't ambidextrous like me. It's the coolest af playing style lol and I wowed a lot of ppl at the club already. But just saying, this is only possible because of the long pips - I would be completely...
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Tested out my 2 racket style at the club today haha. I haven't got the short pips yet so I'm just playing 1 side LP penhold with my left hand. Long pips is really easy to use not gonna lie. This was my first day ever using my left hand for any racket sports, and I already managed to get quite...
  17. Please recommend long pips rubber for me!

First 40 mins with LP on the offhand. Managed to get some basic chopblocking and attacks going. Chopblock topspin, flat hit backspin balls. Serving is a lot harder than what I thought, only my tomahawk serves are working pretty much lol.

I had similar issues, and found that the recovery resets and bouncing on the knees during serve receive to work wonders in terms of moving well to these extreme corners.

Gozo if you can't beat them join them :) I'm already on my way to doing so lol
  20. Advice to improve my game.

Given that wrapping is still so controversial on this forum, it's clear that the English language techniques have a lot of ground to cover/improve. These are very well accepted concepts in Chinese TT circles. To give PechPong credit, he does talk about a lot of these more advanced concepts.
