Wow, I play with a slow blade with Hurricane 3, and I can get all the speed I want. It is better to have a slow bat so you learn a proper hard stroke. A too fast bat with a lot of catapult will make you hold back… Too much catapult and easy spin will make your short game go down the tubes...

I used to ruin my game with T05, I play much much better with H3 prov OS on my FH now. No problem with spin or speed at all, just need to hit harder. From position 3 it can be a challenge though but I rarely get there. Cheers L-zr

More often then You'd think... I got 2 Soulspin Nittaku blades, they differ 4gr (87 vs 91) and 3 Alser all+ blades, they differ 10g (87 - 97). The heavier on was really surprising., but the heaviest one is the nicest... Cheers L-zr

Tenergy05 is the problem here. It could be good to restart your entire experience. I recommend a Yasaka Sweden Extra. Then for rubbers. Start with Mark V. It’s gonna be slow, but you are getting a chance to rebuild what Tenergy 05 has destroyed. After the Mark V is finished change to Rakza 7...

I prefer Yasaka blades before Stiga. I suggest a Sweden Extra. In any case Do not pick a super thin one. Stay above 5.8 mm. If not it’s gonna be like playing a trampoline. You want it to flex but not too much. Cheers L-zr

The most likely damage you’ll get is your rubber ripping your top layer, happen to me twice before I started to use edge tape… Cheers L-zr

6mm is too thin, You want the edge tape to prevent the rubber to pull off the top layer of your blade when the overhang catches the table… Cheers L-zr

It’s a no brainer: - A thin layer of varnish against moisture and ripping. - 2 to 3 layers of raw linseed oil on the handle, against sweat. - Edge tape against catching on the table edge. Cheers L-zr
