  1. Does rakza 7-generation is outdated ?

The short answer is no. I find Rakza 7 as being the best “Do it all” rubber among all ESN rubbers. Rakza X is a little harder and faster. However I find Tibhar MK hybrid (not really a hybrid) being the best non Chinese rubber for my FH. Cheers L-zr
  2. What rubbers should I upgrade to?

Wow, I play with a slow blade with Hurricane 3, and I can get all the speed I want. It is better to have a slow bat so you learn a proper hard stroke. A too fast bat with a lot of catapult will make you hold back… Too much catapult and easy spin will make your short game go down the tubes...
  3. How do you re-boost? (Boosting 2nd time)

I never reboost, I use orange sponge, don't feel its necessary. Too much hassle. I play for ~6 months and then discard. Cheers L-zr
  4. Since when are you playing Table Tennis?

1970 - 1975 (Then I discovered girls...) , and again 2021 - now One of my clubs are the same as in the 70's , Spårvägen Sweden. Cheers L-zr
  5. Hurricane 3 Neo loses tackiness during gameplay

I doubt its intended. I think they changed the production method or components a little and this was the result. Since the amount of finished products are huge they have no other choice than to sell it. My guess is the stickiness will come back in future products. This is after all a huge...
  6. Hurricane 3 Neo loses tackiness during gameplay

I actually like it, It makes the difference between gameplay and warm up less. The first Bloom power I tried was sticky as hell. but this went away quite quickly. Then some of it came back when cleaning using pure water. But what really was a game changer was using a drip of Dandoy Bio cleaner...
  7. Enjoying Tensor to Hybrid transition. Should I go full tacky next?

Bullshit, H3 neo is fully playable, and it’s NOT supposed to be boosted. The way it’s delivered makes this very obvious… Even H3 is playable. You just need to break it in. Same thing with Friendship bloom power. I spent the last 9 months with these two rubbers and I love them. H3 Neo I only...
  8. Enjoying Tensor to Hybrid transition. Should I go full tacky next?

Do not boost “the shit out it”. It’s a waste. H3 wants to be boosted a bit. H3 neo is preboosted from factory and has a layer of glue already on it so it’s not supposed to be boosted. For orange sponge Two thin layers is plenty. It reacts and curve real good. Two problems with overboosting...
  9. Enjoying Tensor to Hybrid transition. Should I go full tacky next?

I used to ruin my game with T05, I play much much better with H3 prov OS on my FH now. No problem with spin or speed at all, just need to hit harder. From position 3 it can be a challenge though but I rarely get there. Cheers L-zr
  10. Enjoying Tensor to Hybrid transition. Should I go full tacky next?

That's another myth. Chinese rubbers doesn't require dudley squat. You just need to hit harder. Cheers L-zr
  11. GRIP and how it affects technique

I find my best shots when my grip is really loose. As I am tiring I really have to think about this between shots or it will gradually harden... Cheers L-zr
  12. Influence of the blade weight (same blade)

More often then You'd think... I got 2 Soulspin Nittaku blades, they differ 4gr (87 vs 91) and 3 Alser all+ blades, they differ 10g (87 - 97). The heavier on was really surprising., but the heaviest one is the nicest... Cheers L-zr
  13. Advice for equipment upgrade

Tenergy05 is the problem here. It could be good to restart your entire experience. I recommend a Yasaka Sweden Extra. Then for rubbers. Start with Mark V. It’s gonna be slow, but you are getting a chance to rebuild what Tenergy 05 has destroyed. After the Mark V is finished change to Rakza 7...
  14. Should i upgrade my ancient Butterfly Gergely Tamca 5000

Very few of us are professionals… No professional is using a modern entry rubber either… But it wouldn’t surprise me if you were wrong here… Cheers L-zr
  15. Should i upgrade my ancient Butterfly Gergely Tamca 5000

"i read online that gergely is no longer suitable for modern table tennis play" A bunch of rubbish. Don't believe everything You read. If You like it, play it. Some people say the same thing about Mark V, also bullshit... Cheers L-zr
  16. K3 vs G1 vs P1

I used to think the same way, now I can’t be without tacky rubbers on FH. It takes about two minutes to clean, let dry and then put the protection sheets in after a session. If You use a cleaner the rubber is dry in no time. The one think I don’t like so much is that it becomes a dust magnet and...
  17. Allround classic vs Allround Evolution

I prefer Yasaka blades before Stiga. I suggest a Sweden Extra. In any case Do not pick a super thin one. Stay above 5.8 mm. If not it’s gonna be like playing a trampoline. You want it to flex but not too much. Cheers L-zr
  18. How you protect your expensive blade

The most likely damage you’ll get is your rubber ripping your top layer, happen to me twice before I started to use edge tape… Cheers L-zr
  19. How you protect your expensive blade

6mm is too thin, You want the edge tape to prevent the rubber to pull off the top layer of your blade when the overhang catches the table… Cheers L-zr
  20. How you protect your expensive blade

It’s a no brainer: - A thin layer of varnish against moisture and ripping. - 2 to 3 layers of raw linseed oil on the handle, against sweat. - Edge tape against catching on the table edge. Cheers L-zr
