  1. My latest training Match (backhand looping)

I spotted 3! I think you guys missed 1:10... I think it's pretty good form, just that you don't have the mindset of a 2-winged player. It's still pretty much 1-wing play as i see it. Maybe work on your BH receive as well so that you have the 2-winged sort of mindset. You still choose to pivot...
  2. FH retooling

Yup I know but some things in technique are much easier corrected while maintaining a higher posture, besides the ball is pretty high. I think it's best to change a stroke one at a time not a zillion things at once.
  3. FH retooling

Perhaps if you did a video comparison you'll notice the changes. No way I'm not turning my torso, just pause the video during my backswing and after I hit the ball, compare the angle and the body you'll see a significant waist rotation over there. My backswing is already much reduced, if you...
  4. Japan Open 2012 - ITTF World Tour

Lol mizutani won at the end! Who was the annoying girl who screamed in such a high pitch every time Mizutani scored?
  5. Rainer87 matchvideo

Hi Rainer87, About serve practice, I might be able to give you a few tips as I do gain most of my points in matches from serve/3rd ball attack. I think in terms of learning any serve, I learn them best by actually serving fast and long with as much spin as possible at the beginning. To me...
  6. Japan Open 2012 - ITTF World Tour

If Shibaev takes the title it'll be really interesting coz no one voted for him! Who would get the T-shirt then?
  7. Who has World Cup 2002 videos?

I've never watched the 2002 World Cup videos where Timo won at the end against Kong Linghui(who beat Schlager at the semis). Is it true that Timo also won against Wang Liqin at that World Cup?
  8. Japan Open 2012 - ITTF World Tour

I hope that Gao Ning will win as he has really shown us how tenacious and tough he is. What a fighter!
  9. Japan Open 2012 - ITTF World Tour

wow never thought of that b4! That would explain why Jung lost to Oh and Lee Jung Woo lost to Joo (normally Jpen FHs are way too fast for any defender to defend against)...
  10. FH retooling

I just added some torso rotation and fixed the elbow position during windup...still looks a bit stiff though... posted 2 unedited videos for comment! Also this is a backup blade I've kept for a long time, seems that the Clipper CR is a much better blade than the Stiga Allround Wood, it seems...
  11. Japan Open 2012 - ITTF World Tour

Oh what the hell, Joo lost to Shibaev! :( :( :( what a surprise! I'm out... :(
  12. Japan Open 2012 - ITTF World Tour

No.... Jun... Noooooo don't lose this! We need you alive so that Joo can advance to the finals! :( :(
  13. Japan Open 2012 - ITTF World Tour

I don't like his playing style now(compared to 2009 Euro) but he does look badass and cool in that outfit! I think it'll suit Zhang Jike, WLQ, Timo a lot rather than the boring T-shirts they wear now...
  14. Japan Open 2012 - ITTF World Tour

Omg, Jun must beat Ryu, otherwise Joo Se Hyuk is in big trouble! I still can't believe Joo got past Lee Jung Woo! Woohoo my hopes are still alive!
  15. Japan Open 2012 - Competition

Joo just got a really tough draw here, I think he's going to get destroyed by Lee Jung Woo next match.... :( :( :( there goes my chances of winning.... Can't believe Timo's out though....
  16. Ahhh timo boll knocked out???

I can't believe he lost to Jung Young Sik in his current form, no way..... I must see the video... I'm guessing that Jung adopted the following tactics: 1) Push long to Timo's BH, then hard counterloop his BH opening loops 2) Outblock Timo like Oh Sang Eun, controlling and using his topspin...
  17. My tournament video (latest)

Pretty good FH and serves... you seem to be lacking a good BH attack (especially against underspin), if you played more tactical players this would be a point of weakness for them to exploit again and again.
  18. My first multiball training post-knee-injury... please comment how can I improve!

Haha the good ones are indeed expensive, 2 times the price of the DHS Neos...:( Also I don't like the bouncy feeling of Euro rubbers, coz it hurts my serve/receive game heavily which is a big part of my game. Also H3 Neo's are really unforgiving in terms of power input, you really need to hit...
  19. My first multiball training post-knee-injury... please comment how can I improve!

I'm actually buying the DHS rubbers precisely to train up my power, they work fine the first few weeks, then when the tackiness dies off(very fast in garage hitting) I find it pretty hard to hit hard with consistency as the spin factor is no longer there... I do use SpinMax to restore tackiness...
  20. My first multiball training post-knee-injury... please comment how can I improve!

Thanks azlan, I found out that my backswing is indeed too big ( I always thought that it was pretty compact!), it seems like it takes away from my recovery time and also power to some extent... It seems like all the pros keep the position of the elbow (relatively to the waist) pretty much almost...
