I never played one, but I would choose the light 88gram one. I think that’s a pretty good weight. I usually look for a nominal weight of 80-85 grams or so. But this is not a huge difference so I’m not it’s gonna matter at all. Cheers L-zr

I recommend Stiga Offensive Classic and Stiga DNA Future on both sides. No point in looking for special FH or BH rubber unless you are really good. If you insist you can make the BH side a little thinner. Cheers L-zr

What is needed with the new balls is a bit more speed and a bit more grip. I would not recommend any of those, instead I recommend Rakza 7. It doesn’t last as long as Mark V but as long as any other European/Japanese rubber. If you are a beginner you don’t want too much speed or grip. With too...

One thing more, the weight distribution is important. The more relative weight towards the head the heavier the blade will feel. That’s why see a number concerning this on Hipnotics (our resident blade builder) blades. Cheers L-zr

I have to disagree. Mark V is one of the longest lasting rubbers on the market. Because it was invented a long time ago doesn’t make it automatically obsolete. On the contrary, it’s been around since the 60’s and that it’s still around means something. Cheers L-zr
