  1. New blade??

If you want something faster and not break the bank (and stay within butterfly) you should get an Falcima
  2. Nittaku hurricane 3 PRO turbo ?

Are you taking about Nittaku hurricane 3 pro with orange or blue sponge? These should definitely be faster if you got the technique to use the harder sponges
  3. Equipment you want Dan and Tom to review?

HL-5 provincial or better and FastArc G-1
  4. Some of my today training footage

Your coach could have told you and it is very easy to understand if you take the analogy of the "short push" practice. The practice is you stand in the neutral position, the coach plays a very short serve and you step into the table with your right leg under the table to get closer and you push...
  5. Some of my today training footage

I did Not watch all. You are correct. It is not about staying low, but rather having a low stance in general. That can change one stroke execution if you smash, but would mostly stay low for everything else. There are players that can make do with an upright stance, but those play for decades...
  6. Some of my today training footage

It seems like your Coach is playing the Ball exactly to where you stand all the time. That is good to learn the technique in itself, but I would have liked him to return the serve to the forehand so that you needed to move at least a little to topspin. The second drill has you move a bit and it...
  7. How much the blade determines your control, speed, spin?

Control and speed is nearly the same thing just on different ends of the scale. The more speed the less control. The only thing possibly contributing to control could be stiffness by hard plies or carbon that would increase the sweet spot, but I think that is mainly marketing and not really a...
  8. using a razor blade to cut the rubber

That is due to the fact that you used it wrong. You don't align the curve of the scissors with the curvature of the blade head but rather the opposite way. This way you can get closer to the blade head without shu any part of the scissors or your hands obstructing the action.
  9. Who's your favorite tt retailer?

For outside Europe I would like to add that I was very satisfied with Nishohi.com of Japan. I primarily bought rubbers at that place when it was out of stock in Europe. They deliver very quick and send a nice Japan focused Postcard with every purchase which is really nice.
  10. Who's your favorite tt retailer?

Tabletennis11.com because the guys produce good content in their blogs and on YouTube and they seem really relatable. I think I even got Sergej (Ceo) on the phone when I called their number. They enable you to select the weight of your blades and are never too tired to reply when I inquire about...
  11. Does a slower blade with a Viscaria-like feeling exist?

I second your opinion and yes FastArc Series is produced by ESN, just like the Rakza Series which makes it very funny that the Rakza Z is less available in the country it is manufactured than in Japan. I would also like ttarc to elaborate on his opinion and about why the G-1 would be wasted...
  12. Service with non-tacky rubber

With ESN rubbers you mainly generate spin when the ball penetrates the topsheet and activates the sponge. Depending on the thickness and kind of topsheet that will be easier(soft topsheet) or harder. On a serve you need the ball to activate the sponge and that needs some energy. One way of...
  13. Tibhar EL-D...my new love!

Mx-D is more like Dignics 05 that is more forgiving, but still pretty hard in terms of sponge. To properly spin with it, you have to engage the sponge and have proper arm speed doing it. The general consensus is that the softer the sponge of the rubber is the easier it is to actually generate...
  14. Received Rakza Z instead of Rakza 7!

One could definitely play the Rakza Z on the forehand, because it could have taught you to properly gerenate power from the body and not just hit it and it flies through the wall behind the opponent like with regular "Tensors" like the Rakza 7. If you want early success and feel like you did a...
  15. Anybody planning on getting Rakza XX?

Sry, did not open it yet. I want to keep it pristine until I decide to use it
  16. Fastarc G-1 is great but...

G-1 top sheet of around 1.7mm I think. That leaves 2.2mm for the sponge with 0.1mm wiggle room before reaching 4.0mm
  17. Fastarc G-1 is great but...

The regulation says the rubber can only be 4.00mm t maximum, this includes sponge+top sheet. Many conventional rubbers do have a top sheet thickness of around 1.6mm which leaves enough room for Max sponges of 2.2mm. the rest of usually kept as spare room due to manufacturing discrepancies.
  18. Anybody planning on getting Rakza XX?

got one at home, but have no time to test. did not read any reviews yet, so i will wait for reviews. Did anybody find some reviews in english ?
  19. Yasaka Rakza Z or Tibhar hybrid MK

Rakza 7 or Rakza Z. These are two very differently types of rubber. In the end Rakza Z will have more elasticity and spin than the hybrid Mk which is more an easy to play rubber in the comfort zone (47.5°) of many people, whole Rakza Z is harder (50°)
  20. Forhand footwork

It actually is ... If only slightly. You take the table as reference and think just because the right foot of ma long is similar closerl to the table like his left foot, but that is not of importance. The direction of shot is what matters. He plays forehand to the wide forehand side of the...
