  1. 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, 9/19-10/4

Would love to see Miwa take it, she's been on a tear lately and she's amazing to watch

Sounds like you have enough time to step around to FH for those. I know you want to build your BH, but shots like that are just a lot easier to smash with quality from the FH. If you really want to rip it from the BH side, then ensuring you have a stable arm and some hip rotation might help...
  3. 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, 9/19-10/4

They've got a decent shot in mixed teams too. Interesting change, though it heavily favours CNT.
  4. 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, 9/19-10/4

Japanese men's team has a very good shot at winning gold at LA2028.
  5. Stories of DHS and Blade Prototypes

Tibhar's website even says Darko uses private version of Infinity MX-P. Prior to that it had private version of MX-P https://tibhar.info/en/pro-player/darko-jorgic/ It's completely illogical to think it costs ESN (or any other large manufacturer) 'tens of millions' just to provide a harder...

There really isn't. You do it in multiball/against someone with a reliable block and it will slowly start to feel natural. Which is actually the solution to most of the problems you seem to have right now. You barely get any rotation in your body on your shots. No matter how many other fine...

I think you're overcomplicating it really. 1. Transfer weight by rotating hips from right leg to left leg 2. Try to hit the ball at its peak 3. Aim to hit through/brush the top of the ball (or top+back if you want more lift against heavy backspin) Then practice it against block/slower paced...

    1. No weight transfer 2. Shot taken late 3. Starting point way too low for the incoming ball Intensity of your play is generally just very casual and unserious as well.
  9. FZD ALC vs Viscaria are the differences actually significant? My measurements surprised me

The only differences listed between the FZD and Viscaria on the official Butterfly information is that the FZD is 5.8mm and the Viscaria is 5.7mm. Which is funny because on average, you'd expect the FZD to be slightly stiffer yet people report the opposite. Even wood from the same tree can vary...
  10. Is it unfair to say “yes”/“cho” when the opponent makes an error?

On clear winners - fine every time On forced errors - fine most of the time Unforced rally errors - fine in small doses Blatant unforced errors like serve error - fine to say 'lucky' or 'phew'. This said, I don't care at all what my opponent does but I think the above is a decent guide to how...
  11. The Perfect Forehand Doesn’t Exist—Former China National Team Player Explains Why

More or less agree. If you're getting power in your shots, you recover in time, you feel comfortable and you are consistent - does it really matter how you did it? Unless there's a clear practical drawback because of someone's technique, it probably doesn't need to be drastically changed.
  12. So I just got a gift - a Timo Ball ALC blade. what rubbers should I get? (for Control)

Depends how actively you're willing to play. I would definitely keep the G1 on your preferred attacking wing. If you have a wing that you are less confident on, a more controlled rubber is fine there.
  13. Thread about Japanese Players

That and better training facilities that she can use more often.

Since the factory booster is a chemical and slowly wears off, it will still lose performance over time. In terms of durability and price to performance ratio, I think rubbers like G1/Rakza7 are hard to beat. They've stood the test of time for a reason.

I think Yinhe Moon Speed/12 are fine if you are willing to replace once the factory booster wears off (seems about 6-8 weeks) but otherwise I'd pick a rubber that lasts longer.
  16. How to play deciding game

I either do what's worked best against the opponent throughout the game, or focus on setting up my strongest attacks. If there's a particular serve or opening they have struggled against, I will repeat that and pressure them to overcome it. It's good to keep in mind the other player is also...
  17. Fish scale. How much would be the price of this blade?

I have a fishscale blade purely by chance since it was ordered online. Feels good to play, more or less what you'd expect of an outer carbon Viscaria clone. It's hard for me to believe that the 0.5mm or so fishscale koto ply would behave noticeably different to another koto ply. Inclined to...
  18. Andro are scammers VCI vs Gauzy VCI

It almost looks like the ayous veneer is thinner, rather than the core. Without knowing the total thickness of the sample blades used in the catalogue its hard to be sure about it, though it certainly does look rather strange. Wonder if they put the wrong photos next to the products
  19. Why some players change to Viscaria super alc?

LYJ said in an interview he moved from the SZLC to the SALC because he has been working on his fitness and feels he doesn't need the SZLC to help with generating power anymore. As for some others only they could say exactly why. Perhaps they feel the extra power is a worthwhile trade, or they...
