  1. Best 47-47.5 degree backhand rubber?

Xiom Vega Pro H Donic BlueGrip S1 I loved Xiom Vega Asia DF, but it's 42.5 sponge hardness, so I guess it doesn't come into account ... but it is a spinny rubber with really nice feeling ... catapulty, yes, but not in such way it would bite.
  2. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

here it is ... but I destroyed it today as I hit a "chair" close to the table, so ... won't be able to tell, how long it goes ... :p
  3. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

hm, interesting. I already think that C55 plays a lot, and I mean A LOT softer than 55 hardness. I had Omega 8 Pro prioer to that on forehand and I think C55 plays at least with same softness. yes, during warmup drives you can tell you are playing with a hard(er) rubber, but during open play, it...

  5. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

been playing for a week now with J&H C55 on forehand and about a month with Vega Pro Hybrid on backhand. combination is great, if not even perfect game wise but am a bit concerned about C55 durability ... it has some 12-15 hours of play in it, half of it doubles (albeit during the national...
  6. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

  7. Suggestion for forehand rubber (intermediate player, blade: OSP Virtuoso off-)

not really. all the Jekyll&Hyde rubbers are designed specifically with this problem in mind. can’t vouch for all of them, but at least C55 is great in this department. also O8P, but it takes a bit of getting used to. O7CG, too. but, C55 and O7CG are heavy rubbers, plus, O7CG can be problematic...
  8. Xiom Omega 8?

waiting for the rubber to come stock at my local “dealer”. :D
  9. Best fh rubber? And tacky or grippy??

Xiom Jekyll & Hyde C55. it’s. really. good. great feel, awesome control, heaps of spin. does what you want to do, but helps you out when you are a bit wrong footed. it only has two negatives - price and durability …
  10. My 15 month EJ journey in table tennis (Xiom offensive S+ Xiom 36.5 ALXi + TMXi + Viscaria)

it looks a bit stiff. loosen up a bit. let the arm move in a flow, continuous flow, like circular movement. not just make a stroke up and down - when you end the stroke it looks stiff.
  11. Xiom Omega 8?

after all the trouble with Omega 8 Pro I am starting to really like it. after cca. 15 hours of play it looks like new. one thing I did notice - sponge is not as “fat” as it was and the rubber shrunk a little - I always cut with some margine, cca. 1 mm - and now it fits to the edge … (I don’t...
  12. Victas Swat Spin rubber (made in Japan)

don’t get me wrong - this one has written “buy me, you’ll love me” all over in my eyes, was just curious, because, as I said, read a lot about modern table tennis going towards harder sponges due to big(ger) ball size and weight …
  13. Post your latest EJ purchase

really? oh, damn … I read a lot about it but didn’t see anything about bad durability 😜 well, we’ll see, maybe they fixed something and it’s better now … :p
  14. Boosting European rubbers

how do pros do it, if boosting is illegal?
  15. Does Butterfly keep the best quality blades in Japan?

well, my experience tells yes. in mid 90's I got for a test Viscaria and Moonbeam, both brought from Japan. and there was also Viscaria which we got in Europe at the time ... I did go for Moonbeam, which wasn't even available in Europe at the time, but Viscarias were two completely different...
  16. Post your latest EJ purchase

I placed an order for Xiom J&H C55 ... been quite reluctant but after all the reading something tells me this is the last missing piece in my racquet puzzle ... at least me and my wallet hope so ... :p
  17. Boosting European rubbers

I think you would just be getting uncontrollable rocket launcher ... don't see any reason doing it ...
  18. Victas Swat Spin rubber (made in Japan)

also, how does 42.5 hardness meet demands of next generation if the trend is to go harder on sponge? even I, and I love soft rubber, had to go up in hardness and I have a feeling I have to go even higher on sponge hardness level ...
  19. Best glue to assemble rubbers?

which glue is the easiest to remove? I use, as said previously, Gewo and BTY Chack and BTY is significantly easier to remove … Gewo is … unremovable …
  20. Xiom Omega 8?

after a week or two, I gave Omega 8 Pro a chance again … a have some shoulder problems and thought, maybe it will help me with the speed (wasn’t wrong after all, but more on that later). first what I have noticed, after re-gluing the rubber back on, that it shrunk! in the meantime, rubber was...
