  1. Which Rubber do you think got the nicest sound?

By far and away Calibra LT Sound.
  2. Backhand rubber

The racket head speed you need to return serves aggressively is the same racket head speed you need to generate good spin. That's one of the reason why it pays to learn good short spin serves - so you can use similar motions/strokes to return good spin serves. Without those strokes, most of...
  3. Tenergy 05 vs Tibhar Evolution MX-S vs Donic Acuda Blue P1

+1. MX-S, which I use alongside T05, requires you to use a larger stroke or have extremely fast hand speed to play with it comfortably.
  4. Backhand rubber

I used it in 1.8mm a few years agp. IMO, blade is not affected by rubber so much that you should change your blade to use a rubber except you have a preferred setup speed. Just use it on the backhand of anything. It reacts less to spin so it allows you to be a bit more aggressive in trying...
  5. Backhand rubber

Short pips - they make the learning curve easier. Try 802-40. It's like inverted but less spin reactive. It will help you understand what goes on with serves more easily.
  6. Palio TCT

Don't do it... titanium carbon... come on man, where is your video of your forehand loop? You seem to be derailing yourself and going down the EJ path... let me save you before you spend so much money not solving the problem...
  7. Why are the Nittaku 3 star premium 40+ poly balls are never in stock?

I guess the truth is that you are all into seamless now, but if you were into NP 40+, would serve you right for your objective TTNPP commentary. :p
  8. TabletennisDaily vs MyTableTennis.net

Because I live in America, I meet a lot of fellow posters at local tournaments or play at the same events even when I don't meet them. We also give more time and space to American tournaments/events. NA is mostly USA and Canada (and occasionally Bermuda etc.) so it is a pretty small. Oh, and...
  9. Why are the Nittaku 3 star premium 40+ poly balls are never in stock?

Megaspin is not an independent vendor - they just aggregate what other vendors offer and take a cut. So if no US Vendor is offering what you are looking for on megaspin, it will not be offered by megaspin. If PaddlePalace sells anything on megaspin, it definitely isn't their Nittaku stuff. I...
  10. Why are the Nittaku 3 star premium 40+ poly balls are never in stock?

Most of what I buy is mail order but there is an interesting mix of very few mail order and bricks and mortar all over the USA, with the latter being very old stores/clubs. I Ejed a lot so I always looked for cheap stuff so the low-service, low cost foreign vendors like timitts.be and ttnpp.com...
  11. Why are the Nittaku 3 star premium 40+ poly balls are never in stock?

If I bought my table tennis gear closer to home, I would either be unable to buy what I needed or be broke by now - just saying...
  12. high and low throw rubbers

Wow, what a slapsmash routine... To quote a singer, this one's for the slappers, strictly for the slappers...
  13. TabletennisDaily vs MyTableTennis.net

My phone gives me a mobile version of mytt - not that I care much for mobile versions of anything in general. Don't let any crazy people put you off mytt or ooak - I am a member of all three sites - I like to think of mytt as having a more American membership/focus and this site as having a...
  14. Why are the Nittaku 3 star premium 40+ poly balls are never in stock?

ttnpp.com had them when I last checked - not sure what the OP is complaining about.
  15. Rakza line.

Personally, the new ESN rubbers I have tried (Evolution, Bluefire Turbo) are so heavy in max with hard sponge that I would recommend that people use 1.9-2.0mm and they will probably enjoy it more.
  16. high and low throw rubbers

Speaking for myself, I almost never play pure topspin loop, which is why I liked Rajah's post. Too much work when the underspin or topspin is heavy and the ball you create is not tricky enough for some players, though it is too heavy for others - always going for sidetop by taking ball early or...
  17. high and low throw rubbers

PN Looping (definition) - a novel stroke where you generate heavy topspin by slapping high chopped balls without arcing them. Produced by matching the TANGENTIAL acceleration of the paddle with the spin of the ball. TANGENTIAL, TANGENTIAL, TANGENTIAL... yes, even though you have to slap the...
  18. Back to Andro Treiber H / Rasant Grip set-up

Andy, Where are the videos you promised... Given where you are at right now based on the problems you have described recently, I wouldn't suggest you take any view you have on equipment seriously. All of us who have been there and done that know that until you have mature strokes, you really...
  19. high and low throw rubbers

I love it when foreigners describe ridiculous situations in English. Always spot on - makes you wonder why the English don't say it that way.
  20. high and low throw rubbers

Try MX-S as well - you may like it.
