Buy something cheap at first as a test

I think that more important than shape are the dimensions of the handle. I have 3 blades that I can't play with because I end up with wrist pain after the session. Two are flared one is a fat handle ST. The most comfortable handles I've had were made of cork. I think that they moulded to my hand...

I can't see it. However, from umpire pov, hitting the ball from a wide position always favours a side call.

Spoken like a true EJ. Right on, Brother! 😎

I see what you did there😁

Years ago it was discussed on one of the forums. I can't remember the exact details but the story was something like; ESN was setup/owned by the owner of Donic who actually led the team that created Tensor rubbers. That's why the first Tensor rubbers were Donic branded. So in effect, ESN rubbers...

I remember that Olympics, I watched several matches live on TV. Waldner was playing out of his skin, showing all the skills/tactics that his experience could deliver. But RSM and Wang Hao (vs Wang Li Qin) were simply on a higher plain to everyone else. I never saw RSM play like that before or...

No. Edit to say yes you may. But in the same manner he's then entitled to tell you "F-off". Assuming there's no umpire of course.

Blame the Irish Personally, I blame the Irish for starting all this foot stomping stuff.

I assumed that Gozo was being sarcastic😉

Interesting and big thanks for that observation. Something to look out for in future.

One word, Waldner........................and a couple others😉

Why do so many Nigerians love to serve with the backhand? I have no stats to back this up, it's just a general impression that I have.

The other thing to note is that the OSP comes in several sizes and handle types. It is a handmade blade afterall which is its big selling point. I have the Virtuoso and the Primorac. I would not say that the OSP is OFF- as it is slower than my Viscaria which I think is the 'Forum' standard for...

That BTTC match was very interesting. I skipped the middle portion and I could not believe the change from the first game. You were much looser, relaxed and it showed in your improved strokeplay.

The big reason why we don't say, ping pong is that when the ITTF was formed, they could not use the name 'ping pong' due to Parker Bros (USA) owning the rights to the name. I am not sure who owns the rights to the name, ping pong, these days.

Apparently, Celluloid balls are still legal. Taken from: ITTF Handbook 2021 version 2. Including the changes made by the ITTF Board of Directors online, effective on 1st August 2021. 2.3 THE BALL 2.3.1 The ball shall be spherical, with a diameter of 40mm. 2.3.2 The ball shall weigh 2.7g...

A double-edged serve😏

I doubt that Stiga can defend rights to a shape

There is a lot of 'it depends' here. In a big hall with few people, yes, it's very uncomfortable. However, most league TT is played iin small venues, most below the ITTF approved playing area. Once a player warms up in his first match, he generally keeps that warmth for the rest of the match...
