  1. Sanwei target national new version

How is the quality control on these rubbers? Is there much variation between sheets? I think I'd probably like this rubber and it suits my forehand, but if there's a lot of variation between sheets, I would not bother.
  2. Is ITTF corrupt? 🤔

I'm not a fan of the ITTF, but how do you propose the ITTF stop these manufacturers? Hire some mercenaries and raid their factory?
  3. Sugestion of Rubber

729 Focus III Snipe is one of the fastest Chinese rubbers I've tried, and the sponge is relatively soft but it's definitely not tacky,
  4. The philosopher’s stone of backhand rubbers

Since you're used to a tacky rubber, that's not surprising as T05FX does not brush loop as well as tacky rubbers. Good to hear you're making it work though, it's a very good rubber and very durable too.
  5. Ultimate combo for amateur players

Will certainly depend on the skill level of the player, could just as easily be the fastest way to lose! :) Sounds like a lot of fun though
  6. The Archer Grip

It does, and good luck trying to cut rubbers for that shape... the angles make it much harder and it's not going to fit on any other blade!
  7. The Archer Grip

I can't really see how it would work. A view from the side would probably help.
  8. What glues do you recommend

I use that one too and it works well for me too, but I only use for OX pimple sheets, which require a thinner and stronger glue.
  9. Ammonia in water-based table tennis glues

That is true, but that's true of VOC glues as well though :)
  10. Physical Digital Scoreboard vs Tablet: Need Input on Best Setup for Events

A tablet seems like the most economic option, then you can just mirror that to a TV screen of any size.
  11. Best glue for easy removal from rubber

Are the blue or beige bottles the same? It mentions a 3-month shelve life, has that been an issue for you?
  12. Yinhe Pro 03 (Inner Koto blade)

    A nice looking design!
  13. Ammonia in water-based table tennis glues

Some of the popular water-based glues (eg DHS No15) have a distinct ammonia smell. I don't know if they use ammonia as some sort of preservative, or perhaps to lower the freezing point of the glue (most glues are ruined if they freeze), but clearly there is a reason for it. The ITTF effectively...
  14. Best glue for easy removal from rubber

I know some glues seem to contain ammonia, but isn't ammonia a VOC that could be picked up by a ENEZ sensor at official tournaments? I think DHS No15 has ammonia as well, so why is this not an issue, while other VOC glues are such a big issue? I'm not trying to discourage anyone from using any...
  15. Quick question

Yes I agree, boosters are oils and tend to last many years. As JJ Ng mention already, direct sunlight is likely the only thing that will degrade it.
  16. Donic Original True Carbon differences in production?

I remember talking to Avalox about variations in weight, and they told me that the Pros invariably select the heavier blades from a production run, making a higher proportion of the lighter version to the retail market, If there is like 10g difference between the blades, the difference is quite...
  17. Tibhar Hybrid MK PRO

Is this rubber the same (ESN) generation as Stiga DNA Dragon grip, Donic Bluestar, etc? I had to glue some sheets onto a blade for someone, and found that the feel of the rubber was quite unique. It felt slightly tacky, but the sheet felt really really floppy. Most sheets feel a little stiff...
  18. What glues do you recommend

Interesting, I've never heard of that one. Where is it available? I glue all my bats with Donic Vario glue. Easy to use and not too expensive, as I buy the 500ml refill bottles, and use those to fill 90ml bottles for use.
  19. What is the First Speed or the Second Speed?

This does make sense to me at all. Perhaps something is lost in translation here?
  20. Should ittf take additional measures to slow the game down?

I think the high speed and spin of our sport is what makes it so special and spectacular. On one hand they like to boast that it's one of the fastest sports in the world, and then they want to slow it down so that the spectators can see it better?
