  1. Looking for a Table Tennis Blade

My son wanted about the same properties in a blade, so I found a carbon blade. Palio CAT https://revspin.net/blade/palio-cat.html. I bought two blades and the weight is 68 & 69 grams. He plays an offensive game with Dignics 05, Xiom Omega V Tour and Stiga DNA Pro M. Another one that he didn't...
  2. Getting back into TT properly with the DHS Neo Hurricane 3

Yes. That's correct. Big Dipper is slower and softer, and gives you better control but still really good spin.
  3. Fastest affordable Chinese rubbers?

I can't find any info about if they are factory tuned, so just naturally fast I guess :)
  4. Please Review my Match

When you are not passive and really use your feet, you also get in the right position for all strokes. Then you are really hard to beat. But in the second match, it looks like Cole have learned how you play, and he gets more balls returned. On the other hand, you are not on your toes and look...
  5. Fastest affordable Chinese rubbers?

I have only tried the N80, GTX, Arthur Asia, Arthur Europe and T3. The Asia was too hard for me, and I'm used to the H3 41 deg :) The Europe was kind of nice on forehand, but you have to put in a lot of power to get it working, looping. The T3 is the fastest, but I had difficulties producing...
  6. Fastest affordable Chinese rubbers?

The fastest Chinese rubber I've tried out is Yinhe Apollo 5. A bit tacky, and really good speed. I had the H36 version. Yinhe Moon Pro Hard is quite fast as well. The 729 Battle II Prov/Gold versions isn't quite as fast as the H3N, what I felt anyway. Then there is LOKI T3. This one felt very...
  7. Stiga DNA Dragon Grip

Why not try something like this https://www.stigasports.com/eu/energy-wood-wrb-table-tennis-blade, with a Chinese hybrid-like rubber like Yinhe Big Dipper? Then you have a controllable wood blade with a set of rubbers a bit like DHS Hurricane 3 NEO, but with a softer feel. These are still quite...
  8. Stiga DNA Dragon Grip

It seems to be quite new this rubber. https://www.stigasports.com/eu/dna-dragon-grip-55-table-tennis-rubber-black Perhaps somewhere like Rakza Z Hard or Dignics 09c?
  9. Why did rubber curl inward?

Probably the old glue expanded the sponge at the glueing moment, and now the effect have vanished, making the sponge shrink compared to the top sheet. Do you have any name or ITTF number on the rubber?
  10. Started Playing Again after 40+ years - What bat ?

I'm on Lula's side here. Why go wild and crazy with expensive Butterfly gear when you don't know what fits you at this day and age. Go for something like The Stiga Offensive Classic or the more light weight Stiga Energy Wood WRB with a couple of allround/offensive rubbers like Rakza 7. You could...
  11. Soft vs Hard Rubbers

Yep. This is my belief too. The T11+ is the fastest i've played with, and it was difficult in many ways. I use the dhs pg5x mainly now. Not too fast inner alc blade. It works great with h3n.
  12. Please advise if there is a cheap Chinese rubber for competition?

DHS Hurricane 3 NEO and Yinhe Big Dipper (first version) is the best buy for the buck in my opinion, if you aim cheap.
  13. Dhs h8-80

Ok. Well, I'm looking for the kick that I didn't fully got from TAU II. It's there in a boosted H3 41deg, but I'm always keen on trying new stuff in this area of rubbers, so we'll see :)
  14. Dhs h8-80

Great. Thank you :) I'll go for the 38...
  15. Dhs h8-80

I play with a boosted H3 41 deg on forehand now. If you have tried this, could you compare to the H8-80? I'm thinking of sponge hardness. Does it feel softer? The TAU II on the other hand is very close to what I like best on my forehand... :)
  16. Does tacky rubber slow down improvement?

Yes. And then you have to add impact speed and angle to this. If you hit Chinese style with a Tenergy, you'll just get angry if you're used to H3. :)
  17. Chinese Rubber=No Catapult : Wrong????

I have used them both and STN is kind of dead and heavy compared to H3N (41 deg). And if I use H3, I use the 41 deg and boost it a bit. Genesis I haven't tried. I have played a guy a couple of times that have Genesis on both sides, and he doesn't play Chinese style, but it gives a lot of spin...
  18. Does tacky rubber slow down improvement?

Yeah. I played a tournament in a hall that became very moist over the day, and what felt nice in the morning became a nightmare in the afternoon. Try to brush loop with a hard sponged anti rubber :D
  19. Does tacky rubber slow down improvement?

I have played with Chinese rubbers similar to DHS H3N the laste five years now. What I have found out is that you can benefit more from these rubbers more if your technique is better.I have never played with any Provincial or National H3, only commercial versions. I feel that it's my technique...
  20. Need Help Choosing First Custom Racket

Like Der_Echte writes. After playing one year, perhaps you have started to figure out the way you like to play this game, or what style fits you the best. So, we had a "private" message conversation about this a while ago, and when you come from a $10 pre-made racket, everything else is a more...
