They counted it for Rio during the test phase. Perhaps they figured it didn't work to their favor? China is already at a disadvantage(LOL), given the 100% straight wins, and now they only get points for 2 wins?

OTOH, I see they want to increase the prestige of the Team World Cup. Well, not a bad thing.
