Few things will test your patience & consistency more than facing a retriever. (lobber / Fisher. whatever you want to call it)
I don't particularly enjoy facing them. But whenever I do I like to try to work on my drop shot, try to stay steady on smashes and not trying to kill it. Basically move them in & out a lot.
Drop shot is a shot I don't see people practice all that often. You have to play with someone who can lob to do it.
