How do you adjust your BH topspin stroke against higher balls? Not smash-high balls, but just balls that may kick up higher around chest level.
Personally, it feels uncomfortable to be hitting the ball with BH at that height, and I cannot generate enough power to hit it with good quality.
Does anyone think that the "new balls" will actually favour the game-style of Xu Xin?
All other players seem to be "the same": attacking early on a fast and super-reactive game.
The new balls however are somewhat slower and I'm seeing Xu Xin adapt a style better acquainted to the way the...
Hey there,
I got a question for you guys which have tested the D40+ balls.
The first balls I bought in the first quarter of 2017 were really good and sounded like the Nittaku Premium balls, after 2-3 months or so I ordered 72 balls from TTNPP and they play basically the same I think but the...
Hi all,
In our local league rules it's states:
"Only table tennis England approved balls shall be used"
Does anyone know if such an official approval actually exists or is it literally just a reference to the ITTF equipment list?
Many thanks.
Hey Folks,
I recently played in a tournament with plastic balls. It required some technical adjustments but I think I am getting used to them. But my Service kept either being too high or having basically no spin. I lost many points because of that and it kept frustrating me. And it wasnt just...
These were recently released to the public (Friday) and used in the past by the China Super Leagues. Bi-Color DHS D40+. They are CTTA Approved. Note, I don't see them on the ITTF approved equipment list (too bad).
I have three comments on this:
1) Is there anything in the ITTF rules...
Hi guys, I have problem with reading balls when I receive service. I can't understand from opponent's racket movement. I want to read with ball differences. What are the differences between them?
I am just wondering if it's a bad idea to do multi ball training with Celluloid balls. Like what are the negatives?
I still have my training celluloid balls from before I stopped playing TT which I used for multi ball. I want to know if I need to really invest in the new plastic balls or if I...
Do they exist, or are they like unicorns? I have read about those becoming available after the plastic ball is more widely manufactured, but as of yet, I have never seen one (except those 44+ balls)
Hi,
I am looking for some cheap balls for a multiball training (~ 200 balls I would say). I used to buy 3 star DHS celluloid balls from Aliexpress. They seemed qenuine, the quality was good and the price was very good. Can't find the same seller now and I think its time to switch to poly. Also...
Good day everyone,
i just changed from Inverted to SP 2 weeks ago. I became more active.
i am currently having problems in receiving short heavy underspin serves and Long float balls.
For heavy underspin:
its hard for me to push since it pops up most of the time
What i did was twiddle to my...
This might be interesting for some people, there's a seller on Aliexpress that's selling the new DHS D40+ 3 Star balls (with Ding Ning on the package) for a very low price. Usually I am a bit hesitant when it comes to order certain products on Aliexpress, but Baal also got them from the same...
A new, insightful video has surfaced on the ITTF youtube channel on the production of plastic balls!
Pingsider visit Double Happiness (DHS), a Ball Production Company, to learn how a plastic table tennis ball is made.
Hello!
Anyone who knows where I can buy old 38mm balls. My girlfriends dad needs a box or two for their old multiball robot. So if anyone knows where to buy them so please reply.
Thanks in advance:)
I'm thinking of getting training balls for multiball and service practice and i have the option of above mentioned two balls as they are cheaper. i would like to know which of these have better roundness, bounce , durability etc.
Two weeks later, I get a new plastic balls Double Happiness from their supplier. If someone was playing a new ball, give their opinions
DHS claim this is probably the worlds roundest ball. It is made from a different process and the material is bouncer. They will release a 1* ball to the...
