Hi this was posted on another forum the tale tennis forum whats your thouhts? The ITTF has announced that in July 2014 the new "polyball" will come into play. Instead of the current 40mm celluloid ball we'll be using a marginally (less than ~.2mm) bigger, plastic ball.

My club is seriously considering buying a table tennis robot.
Does anyone expect difficulties with the introduction of the new balls? Will the robots be able to handle them well?
