We have now got a good evidence that Chinese still go on boosting on rubbers behind the curtain. This is a real person we catched blood handed by means of candid camera.
-- Should we admire the cheaters?
-- Should we work onwards to develop a better detector of illegal stuff, other than thickness gauge?
Our explicit answer will always be NO and YES respectively.

quit ragebaiting. We don't admire our athletes because of the equipment they use. It is because they are the highest level of our sport and that is magical. All pro's receive boosted rubbers from sponsors or boost them after they receive it. Either make better rules or don't inforce them.

Can people use the “report” functionality if they have issues, and not address the poster directly?

There are 2 problems here.

1. Interacting with the post/thread that you feel is spam/trolling, simply feeds the troll.

The more people who report it, the more likely something permanent will be done.

2. By interacting, you actually turn a troll post into a potentially informative one.
Sometimes it's fun to look who was caught https://equipment.ittf.com/#/equipment/racket_control_infractions
Currently the only player with three infractions (four in four years = one year suspension) is... Alexis Lebrun

This, for example, is massively of interest, so deleting the thread now seems counter productive….

What is the the threshold for being banned? I guess he is the most reported user in this forum, no?
People will stop reporting if they do not see any result.
Maybe mods should also create a thread of "banned users" as a report like in some video games. In that way its also a warning to all of us that being naughty here is a big no no.

How did he get two in one day?
Is it one for each side of the racket or what?

But what's the point to ban Igor?
His posts are TT related even if everyone in here would disagree with their intent, content and sentiment.
Better to leave him be and just ignore. Belivi that the rules should be followed isn't a crime. And if boosting isn't allowed then he actually has a point,. anyone doing it is technically cheating even if the rule is stupid 🤷

Apart from that, showing a picture of FZD checking his Racket thickness 10 yrs ago is pretty hilarious to me 😂

The problem is that igorponger has chosen to stay silent about JNT players after the People of Honesty came clean about their fair share of the Happy Crooks. Mizutani has been openly critical of boosting since the end of Beijing 2008, even insinuating that boosting was the sole reason he didn't feel confident in beating CNT players in an interview with Table Tennis Kingdom back in 2011, despite the fact that even Butterfly tried edible oil during R&D of Tenergy...

Tell me with a straight face his Tenergy looks clean in that picture.

From what I’ve seen (bearing in mind I’ve not been a mod for that long), there really is a low number of reports.

And when we get a report, it’s often an isolated incident (just one person reporting). If LOADS of people reported it, there’s a strong argument for the content to be removed.

In this specific case, it’s turned into a relatively worthwhile discussion - Even if the original post was intended to “troll/rage bait/ruffle feathers”.

Any bans moving forward would be discussed internally, and it would be a group discussion to ensure as many voices are heard.

Maybe his rubbers where to thick after boosting, and when he changed blades his back up blade had probably the same issue

With all the respect I disagree, as I see one member can't be banned or his thread/post deleted for the number of reports, at least to ban o delete the content must be not allowed by the forum rules.

If you don't like the content of a member is easy simply put in the ignore list.

You are allowed to disagree - But it doesn't change anything I'm afraid.

If a post or thread is against the rules in any way, shape or form, it can be deleted (by a Moderator).

If someone posts a "spam/troll" thread about something, and a number of people report it (because the Moderators will not always see things straight away), then there is a high chance that thread will be deleted.

Reminder - This is not a forum where you can post *anything*.

"Free speech" on a privately owned forum is not a thing.

But generally speaking, this forum is pretty good at self policing issues.

9. SANCTIONS

If a player fails the racket control test with the first racket in the pre-match control test and subsequently, fails the post-match racket control test with their 2nd racket in the off blade or on the blade measurement, the player will get two notices on the infraction list at the same event.

I had this idea that it would be fun to see a tournament where there will be a pool of like 30 different paddles, including pips and anti, handshake and penhold. In each round, players have to randomly select a paddle and use it. The winner will truly be the best all around player.
Haha, that would make for some interesting Table Tennis!

It's quote a common type of question idea in lots of sports - Somehow "levelling" the playing field to make it "fair"

You see it in F3 (like Formula One, but they all have the same car/engine).

Or even the Ping Pong championships, where they had the same sandpaper bats, and swap them each end (leave the bat you are using for that end, and use the other persons when you switch).

I think the thing that is great about Table Tennis is the different styles - Styles make matches as they say.

It's a shame that so much of the "top" of the game (mens mainly) is the same, textbook attacking style.

Harimoto with antispin would be quite something!

It seems you doesn't understand my post. I tell again: only contents against forum rules can be deleted & poster banned or tell me other reasons that i don't know?

I know what can or can't post, thanks for the reminder.

It seems not enough reasons that mods receive a lot of reports, the important is the content if it's allowed by forum rules or not.
