People have been predicting that colored rubbers will cause unwanted hassle to table tennis equipment distributor. Why don't companies make a paint applier that does not damage the rubber? It would be a far cheaper and beneficial method for the distributors and consumers.

because paint wears off the surface very easily, especially when the surface is constantly being struck and rubbed by a plastic ball that isn't smooth, and paint on the surface would also change the characteristics of the rubber.

Cheaper for the customers, but not for the supplier. May be that is the reason.

Wait, are you actually considering the idea of "PAINTING" rubbers for color choices? hahahahaha.
