On Bilibili highly rated reviewers said the commercial Hurricane Wang feels muted, lacks clear feedback, but it is fast.

Don’t get me wrong. By keep the price almost the same as when Hurricane Long V came out more than 8 years ago, it makes sense to lower the craftsmanship.

The cheaper Hurricane Sun plays better with better feedback. Thanks to the thicker core.

I have a commercial Wang and I have to say it is an amazing blade - I had poor experience with HL5 a while back, but this is a different animal. It feels more balanced in the hand, better handle and most importantly has a lovely feel when playing - it is a little slower and softer feeling than my Franziska (with the same rubbers) but is very fast when you hit strongly on FH. BH also feels more direct than HL5. Truth be told it is everything I had wanted from an HL5. I have also owned a provincial 968 which was nice but not outstanding.

I have ordered a Q968 and also an S968 in order to try both of these - I am keen to hear from anybody who has played either? (Q968 was harder to find)

Am I crazy?!?! I did the same.
has already ordered Q968 Nat. from Prott. :ROFLMAO:
I've never bought such valuable blade... I'm not entirely convinced to Chinese rubbers and I'm wondering to pair it with Xiom rubbers suggested by Gan in his review that commercial version of Hurricane King works better with Xiom rubbers (Xiom Omega VII China Guang + Omega VII Pro) compared to H3N?

Anyone has any experience? Is it worth to check it with BTF rubbers? I love to play T05 + T19 but on ZLF blades (TB ZLF) and do not have any issue with short touch, can do drop shots after the net ;)

@Wrighty67 which rubbers do you plan to check?

Frankly speaking this will be my first try with Innerforce structure, always plays allwood or outer carbon ones...

That's very funny - I look forward to hearing how you find them. I like my Hurricane Q very much so hope it is similar but better.

I use T05 and T64fx right now so will start there, but may also try some harder rubbers on these - D09 / D64 for example.

Hope to read you guys' impressions/reviews on both the Q & S968 soon...

I just placed an import order for the Xiom TMXi Pro version (couldn't resist after hearing good things about it :p) - now pondering what rubbers to pair it with... I guess it's the season of oversized innerforce W968 clones! :D
soon is really subjective as normal international post can take (40-60 days) 😭 (information from prott site)
I hope I will get it sooner than later ;)

Mine have both shipped and made the airline - now waiting for the first one to land. A sheet of rubber I bought from Pro TT and used the std shipping, arrived in 9 days!

@Wrighty67 how is your commercial Wang Chuqin blade holding up? I’ve heard there is some quality issues with commercial wang blades. Is your national Q968 better for you?
My commercial is doing pretty well - QC seems ok on this one so far. The only issue was that the logo plastic insert felt a little looser than it should be. I haven’t received the Q yet so can’t compare, but will do once I have it.

Sounds great thank you for the insight, can’t wait to hear your thoughts on National Q968 as I am interested in the provincial Q968 that ProTT recently added

I got confirmation from Prott that mine was shipped out today :D (must be patient :p :p )

Curious.... Anyone have any experience or heard that's anyone play on Long 5 (kinda) blades, something different than H3Neo BS/OS (or equivalent) on FH and H3Neo 37 or some tensor/esn rubber on BH?
Is it really suited for such pair?
For a long time I was avoiding Long 5 kinda blades (W968, Q968, S968, Xiom TMXi Pro, etc.) due to the fact that players was playing above mentioned combination with such blades and me and above mentioned combo rubbers did not like each other :p
Not sure the reason, maybe I used such rubbers on wrong blades and should try on Long 5 structure blades and fall in love :D
I love Tenergy rubbers, T05, T19, I can do whatever I want with and feel very confident in both training and matches.
Q968 is approaching and thoughts blow my mind. If i should give it a try once again H3Neo/Rxton IX Nat on FH and keep T19 on BH (as I'm currently using) or f*** it and play T05+T19 as on my TB ZLF blade :D :D

I know, I know, there might be so many opinions, but ultimately I have to make the decision myself. I had to vent :p

Great news!

I recently hit with a club mate's Long 5 that had T05 on both sides. To me, the Tenergy felt like a Tenergy - grippy, blazing fast, nothing unusual. On the BH it felt a bit mushy, but the guy said he needs to re-glue the BH rubber so it could be because of that...

I also have a Fang Bo B2X (a Long 5/5X clone) with a Fastarc G1 on it, and the G1 feels excellent on it. Decent short game, and plenty of power away from the table - counter looping is very fun with this combo.

Anyway, when testing new blades I try to keep the rubbers unchanged from the old setup. That way at least one aspect of the whole racket feels familiar...

Just saw a new DHS Bo-series blade on Aliexpress -- looks like an inner-carbon with koto top ply, using the regular DHS artificial fiber rather than the blue one, but otherwise possibly a cheaper alternative to the Wang acB. Does anyone know anything more about it?

This store calls it the "Bo X-P"

DHS Bo X-P Koto top ply, might be the same construction, same artificial fibre, same thickness with DHS 301X.
