oh okay when it is a faster one then i will rather try the suggested fang bo b2 or stuor long V
Stuor blades are addicting, once you get started with them you can't stop.

Be careful 😂.

I'd say look at pictures and their handle, which one looks better to you.

If you buy from AliExpress, you can ask for specific weights like 86-88g or something like that.
Sometimes they have it in stock, some shops can't choose weight etc..

TT Shopping on AliExpress is a whole field for itself.

Stuor Long V is not slower than Yinhe 05 (in my opinion, again; someone could think otherwise). I think that Fang Bo is slower than Yinhe 05, but the difference could come from the rubbers (they're the same, but there could be a difference of hardness), or from the fact that we're not good enough to play exactly the same everyday.

As far as we know, composition and average frequency are the only data that allow us to determine the relative speed of blades. So, if we take that for granted (and we should not entirely), Ovtcharov ALC is supposed to be faster than Yinhe 05, Fanb Bo B2 or Sanwei CC, and maybe than Stuor Long V (data is not very consistant for this one, we have 1277Hz as well as 1399Hz).

your right! i totally forgot about wood density difference, my second HAL has exactly the same frequency of 1400hz and feels really similiar but also costed 190€. so for that bargain of 40€ i need to expect some variations and i am fine with it. i will just get the one that looks the nicest and i think judging on the look of the handle i will try the yinhe blade. it is just for fun anyway :)

From the thinnest to the thickest : Fang Bo B2, Stuor (all of their seems to have the same shape, except the Zhang Jike clone), Yinhe.

I'm glad that you like the Stuor Long 5. I had it before, but I didn't like mine. It felt too slow and soft. But I think your blade feels different from mine. Stuor has quite a bit of variation from blade to blade.

You are a pretty high level player. I think you would be like 2200 USATT.

Why do you like to use cheap equipment despite your high level?

Maybe it's not the blade that feels different. We are different players, with different skills, different touch, so maybe we don't judge the equipment in the same way.

I'm not that good. There's still 4 or 5% of French players that are better than me. I'm not at a level where I need the extra nano-improvement to exploit my potential. And in every domain, I hate overpriced things. So, for guitars, tennis racquets, ping racquets, cars,... I always buy what I consider the best bargain. I would not be better with Dignics. And I just restarted playing after a very long time without touching a racquet. So first I have to train, then, maybe (and I doubt it), equipment will have an influence.

So what's your main setup now? And what other rubbers have you tried?

I'm not sure yet. I played with Stuor Long V, LAC on FH and Gewo Nexxus 38º on BH. And I was very satisfied with it.

I've been trying Yinhe 05 for the last 4 weeks, with LAC on FH but I'm unsure about the BH.

I tested LAC, Big Dipper and Jupiter 3 on the FH and liked them, and Battle 3 & Bloom Power but i hated it I did not like them (too stiff).

On the BH, I tried LAC, Arthur Asia, BD, J3, Volant P 2, M12, Rxton 7, H3N OS 37º, Gewo SS 48, AK47 all versions, Aurora Max, Presto Ma, Telson 100, GoldArc 50°.

Which booster did you use on Aurora Max?

And what is LAS?

I found Bloom Power to be very stiff but lively and bouncy.

How is battle 3. Is it lively?

Bloom Power was too stiff for me. And from my measurement, it's 5 to 6° harder than my different Arthur China, so it's not surprising to feel that. And then, I can't find it boucy. BUT, I ordered another one, with a purple sponge, which surprised me since the first one had a red sponge. I need to test it.

Battle III is almost as hard as the Bloom Power, so I find it too stiff for my taste (LAC is the max I can bear). I don't know what you mean by lively, but it's very fast. But since I can't feel the ball, I can't master the speed. I'm pretty sure it's a matter of taste and/or technique.

But, don't take my opinion for truth. It's my feeling, and given the success of Bloom Power and Battle III, some people have completely different opinion than me.

I found bloom power purple sponge to be much faster than Battle 2.

But you find Battle 3 to be faster than bloom power?

Hey, I know you're asking @Grumms (the only true disbeliever of our 2200 (bow knee bow) god) - but let me say, I played with B3 H39 only shortly and the problem for me was not the sponge, but the top-sheet. It's too hard, I prefer more elastic... Anyway, I'm sure you'll buy it yourself. Tell what you find...

Well it sounds interesting. So hopefully there will be a good deal for singles day.

But I already have Battle 2 and Battle Max...so how different could Battle 3 really be?

I actually prefer the B2 BS to B3... But on singles day, R9 ;-) Cheers.
