Have you tried K3 before? Can you compare C53, ZGX, and K3? Are these rubbers largely the same to each other?
Hey Tensor, I'm sure I've already answered the same question made by you in another thread. Anyway, since my K3 sheet is probably not reliable (most reviews praise it for its performance and control instead mine was difficult to control even if it was fast) I would compare for you C53 and ZGX. C53 and ZGX are pretty similar (same hardness 53 degrees and both slightly tacky) BUT C53 is a bit faster, a bit more difficult to control, a bit less throw (I'd say medium high for ZGX and medium high- for C53) than ZGX. C53 is definetly better on counter topspin than ZGX, but ZGX is fine on counter topspin. Also C53 is capable of bit better backspin on pushes and serve.

How is the speed of K3 vs zgx and C53?

Personally I feel dragon grip is much faster than zgx. So i wonder where K3 falls

So why do you choose ZGX? You don't want the extra speed?
Because I don't need the extra speed that C53 has, ZGX has plenty of speed and spin and also has a big pro: I can control it with full confidence, I can make all kind of shots without worrying too much about the angle of my racket. This is very important to me in official match play.

I'm selling my sheet of NUZN 50, black, used 1 hour only, 158x151mm cut. PM me if interested.

Recently switched to a Nuzn 50 (it was on sale ;-) ), coming from a Tibhar Hybrid MK Pro.

Plays very similar to the MK Pro, with some minor differences:
  • feels a tad softer, but also a bit slower, although high-end speed comes pretty close to the MK pro
  • +++ it's easier to "pick up" a push ball by using a slow spinny topspin, this is something I struggled with when using the MK. The Nuzn feels slightly less "dead" and easier to engage.
  • +++ better service quality, easier to serve short and spinny, here also the sponge is easier to engage
  • --- blocking was harder than with the MK. The MK is super solid but the Nuzn feels a bit bouncier. Not Andro-R47-bouncy-as-hell or bouncy like a classic (non-hybrid) rubber, but still...
I think my findings map pretty well with what @Airoc is saying in this thread...

Rubber is not sticky at all, as in I can't roll a ball and lift it, even fresh out of the package.

I have no experience (yet) with other hybrid, so can't compare to C48/C53, Bluestar, K3, Dignics, ...

Cheers!

Andro Nuzn 55 is on 30% sale on tt11 for this week, I'm using 7 ply clipper(koki niwawood), is this rubber, worth buying for an intermediate player? How does perform compared to rakza z, glayzer 09c and K1?
It’s very hard, takes some power to activate it. Feels faster than rakza Z and glayzer 09c. Not sure about K1.

There are hybrid rubbers that are easier to use.

RZ, G09C and (I assume) K1Euro are all softer and slower than Nuzn55 but easier to activate. Nuzn does have pretty good grip but it is essentially nontacky. You need a hard impact to get the best out of Nuzn55 but the performance yield is much higher.

Revival? Anybody more experience the last months? I played against this rubber yesterday (50 I think) and was surprised a couple of times by the amount of spin it generates. I landed multiple balls in the net even though with my t05fx I'm no stranger to underspin and actually that's how I usually get a lot of easy points.

As I find my timoboll with t05fx quite jumpy is this a possible option? Even though on paper a harder (esn) sponge compared to butterfly

I'm using nuzn 50 on my FH for a couple of months and the topsheet still looks good. The amount of spin is definitely above average. Although it can be a bit.. unpredictable. Sometimes I think I play with a lot of spin but opponent plays the ball easily and sometimes I think there is no spin and opponent pushes deep under in the net or blocks way over the table.

I'm not a fan of hard rubbers but nuzn 50 doesn't feel like 50 degrees to me and feels softer. Pretty high arc when playing topspin.

I keep playing nuzn 50 for this season but will give Omega 8 pro or China a try as well. (Just to feed my inner EJ)

That sounds unusual. I have never had any other rubber that does so exactly what I want it to do, and does exactly what the feeling at the moment of impact tells me.

I agree that it doesn´t feel very hard compared to other 50 degree sponge rubbers, but as a step onwards from 05fx a previous test might be indicated, or at least some time to get used to it - not change on a Friday and play a match on Saturday ;-)

I've been using Nuzn 50 on my BH for just over 2 months, playing 2-3 times a week plus 3 tournaments. The topsheet is still almost pristine, very little change in terms of spin generation when using pure topsheet brushing. The sponge, however, definitely feels somewhat softer and more linear/harder to activate the catapult effect compared to the first couple of weeks with the rubber. Still, I'm very happy with the rubber and will keep it on for at least another month. Regardless of when it dies, a new sheet of Nuzn 50 is waiting to be glued on.
