hey, guys, how to get the best out of training sessions where your practise partners are quite a few notches below your level? what specific drills should be practised?...practising with a relatively weak partner does you no good, but still i'm faced with that scenario for a while. so i really wan't to maximise my sessions...please drop in your ideas...

PS - i am an advanced beginner...so i myself have loads to learn. however the situation now is frustrating me. so i don't want to waste my sessions at all.

You should focus on your placement. Don´t focus on speed or spin but on hitting your partners bat everytime. Like when your are playing to his backhand then hit his backhand where he or she has he´s bat. This way the both of you can gain something from the practice.

Don't serve too hard or kill the ball every chance you get. Focus on footwork and form. The only thing that you need to make sure that you reset quick in spite of your slower opponents. Make sure you handle the ball with good form and are always ready for the next ball.

Are they able to block? Sometimes I find regular and irregular movement drills can be fine when playing with weaker players as long as they can stand somewhere and block. The small errors they make with placement make it even more challenging if you embrace then and adapt to them, rather than let them frustrate you.
