From my research it seems a pure wooden blade is preferred for the above.
I am looking at a nittaku barwell fleet or a dhs hurricane long 3 or 5.
Does anyone have a view or experience of these.
Thanks

Thanks for the link to the japan site. Prices seem to be better than others I have been looking at.

On my thread where I originally asked some stuff regards to Hurricane Hao III
http://www.tabletennisdaily.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?9143-DHS-Hurricane-HAO-III-Questions
A guy came along showing off his Long 5 :v
From reading reviews we came to these conclusions:

Honestly I did consider that one as well, but Hurricane Hao III seemed more preferable for my type of play.
Firstly it loops better. (Long V is not recommended for loop play) Secondly I would not like to trade the amount of control on the Hao III for the speed I would get on the Long V. I am confident on my own skills on generating speed.
And "Overall" Hao III has a 1,6 higher rating + the fact that it has two more ratings than the Long V on tabletennisdb.
I came to the conclusion of it being better for me. Not to mention, I loved the fact it (Hao III) had ONE center Glass carbon layer. And not two carbon layers.

To be honest I was really impressed with the hl5 as on average is 100g which is quite heavy but mine was only 90g.
i was thinking about the HH3 but I prefer the blocking aspect and close to table drives, which I think the HL5 has the edge on.

Though the rating should of course be taken with a pinch of salt.

Composition of the blades:
Hurricane Long 3 - Limba - ayous - ayous - ayous - ayous - ayous - limba (5 ply)
Hurricane Long V = limba - ayous - arylate/carbon - ayous - arylate/carbon - ayous - limba (7 ply)
Nittaku Barewell (not sure but): walnut - glass fiber - ? - ? - ? - ? - ? - glass fiber - walnut (9 ply?)
I would asume the majority of the other layers is probably Ayus.
Barewell fleet is btw even cheaper here, than the Japanese site.

If it's the best for Hurricane 3 I don't really know. Though I can't see it being horrible with any rubber tbh.

Good luck on picking!

Does the TT Jp include VAT then?
because without VAT -

http://i.imgur.com/Hjckcd6.png (€ is 116) (tt11)
http://i.imgur.com/xOKAz5u.png (and € is 120) (tt jp)

+ tt11 is free shipping as well! as free sealing/lacquering + assembly. (if the two rubbers are bought there also of course, sealing is nice either way)

Yes TT JP include VAT in the price and they do free sealing/lacquering + assembly to. You will how ever pay about 7€ for shipping.

I personally buy from both TT11 and TT JP.

hmm, not bad. Then I guess that's about 174$ (tt11) vs 156$ (TT jp)

There really isn't a best blade for hurricane rubbers. Hurricane Long 5 is a very good choice though. And so are w968 and w997. HL5 is the commercial version of w968, which was the blade that Ma long used to win the Chinese National Games in 2013, and w997 is a variation of the blade. w997 is a little softer and the backhand is more powerful. It's the blade that Ma Long used at the Tokyo WTTTC and his current blade.
