What an atmosphere in the German Getec Arena today which saw the Men's Team World Cup final! On Sunday the 6th November 2011 the table tennis world had a spectacular treat!

As expected the Chinese Team reached the final defeating host nation Germany in the semi final! China faced Korea who defeated a tough Japanese side in the other semis. China defeated Korea by 3 matches to 0!

China were exceptional throughout the World Team Cup!

The winning China team in the final saw Ma Long, Wang Hao and Xu Xin defeat Korea's Ryu Seung Min, Oh Sang Eun and young rising star Kim Min Seok.

In the opening match, China's Ma Long was in fine form as he defeated Ryu Seung Min by 3 games to 1 with scores: 11-13, 11-7, 11-5, 11-4. Ryu took the first set in impressive performance however Ma Long came back and showed Ryu why he is the current best player in the world.

In the second match the young rising star from Korea, Kim Min Seok produced a sensational performance against China's Xu Xin. Kim started the match to his hands and went into a 2 set to 1 lead. Xu Xin fought back with great fighting spirit and took the match into the fifth set. Xu's experience gave him the vital edge to win the crucial points and the star won the set 11-8. Xu Xin defeated Kim Min Seok by 3 games to 2 with scores: 11-9, 6-11, 7-11, 11-5, 11-8

In the third match of the Mens Team World Cup final was the doubles match. The fantastic pairing of Wang Hao and Ma Long represented China! Korea's Oh Sang Eun and Kim Min Seok tried their up-most best to break the rhythm of the Chinese pairing however it wasn't meant to be and China won the doubles match by 3 sets to 1 (11-6, 7-11, 11-8, 11-5)
