Chen Meng / Sun Yingsha - similar case
Indeed, which also included the actual CNT being disrespectful to Chen Meng and her subsequent “retirement”. I hope Lin Shidong does not retire early because of fans

3rd time is the charm!

In the mixed-zone interview (WYD showed some emotions in the latter half), Dumb Di shed light on her journey to becoming Less-Dumb Di (😉 @KiwiPong). Here's to her becoming Smart Di before retirement...

Reviewing how she played like crap the 1st time, it was much better the 2nd time and that she executed some setplays in the latter 2 games but her confidence or rather the handling of crucial points were not appropriate. She made some adjustment this time on 3rd ball and confidence, noting that having lost twice made things easier on her mindset, how she focused on giving Hashimoto her all rather than always thinking of killing the point in one or two shots, admitting that she doesn't have that capability after 2 losses, adding that Hashimoto's pace [haste] was a little faster than her today and how she borrowed the setplays from her teammates. When asked what advice her coach 李大成/Li Dacheng gave her, she said take it slow, one point at a time, one shot at a time, how it is tiring to play against choppers, and the breathing techniques between points, how holding the breath tends to make one impetuous, pointing out how she is the type that readily loses patience, so their game plan was to play each point out and slowly grind her out.

终于赢了桥本!王艺迪采访时声音颤抖:已明白没能力一两下弄死她 (Finally defeated Hashimoto! Wang Yidi's voice trembled during the interview: I now understand that I can't get her killed in one or two shots)

the olympics was just so shameful

the toxicity will only just get more because ctta/cnt has no solution
you require fans to correct these fans, because the parents didn't teach them manners

Chen Junsong can be very proud of his performance. Both he and Felix played extremely well, but Felix just edged him in the serve and receive especially as noted by Fraser. Big fan of this new young Chinese.

I like him a lot as well, but IDK if his SP style will allow him much longevity once people get used to it. When he played against ZQH a few weeks ago, who presumably is fairly familiar with his style, he got beaten pretty badly. The score wasn't close but the match looked even less so.

Not a fan of this "Dumb" language, but a player expanding the range of possibilities in her game especially at a very advanced level is always inspiring to see.

its what happened when too many self claimed high iq people get together into a whatsapp group and think they know it all. They look low on people and think they are supreme over others, including chinese people/players they don't like.

The reason why LSD gave the thumbs down was there was a high iq fan that scream, WAKE UP LSD when he made serve return error and afterwards WCQ took the mic and said its okay for you to have your favorite player, but please do not attack and hurt other players.

but these high iq fans, obviously have selective hearing. Should just have them thrown out and banned. Money can't buy class, so just need to use the old method for hooligans. Even the likes of SYS gets verbally abused before. Its sickening, this is like cancer and it is growing and it has already destroyed FZD, and it will soon also destroy WCQ. Why doesn't these high iq fans that zeio knows try and fix this problem? they probably too smart

Funny how TT has changed.

I'm a Felix fan, but goddamnit, why is his inside-the-table FH shot is so weak? When other players make that shot, it's almost a kill shot and ends the point. But when Felix does it, it's like he's doing his opponent a favor. It's slow, very predictable since most of the time it's going to the opponent's FH corner, and it doesn't even have that much spin to make blocking difficult.

I think this year Felix is building his game for the future. He doesn't seem sharp, and only got this far because of a relatively easy draw. Beating LSD in this tournament would be a shocker (and CNT fans would probably force LSD into retirement).

WYD gave more specifics in the interviews with Miguvideo.

In the first one, she said she watched how SYS handled Hashimoto and noted her comprehension of spin and her technical and tactical sytle are something she is not capable of mastering. However, shot paths and receiving are stuff that she can take a page from SYS, acknowledging that SYS indeed has a very strong FH, something that she can only admire and truly can't master. OTOH, her style is more similar to that of WMY, as WMY loopdrives more, and so she compared her past 2 losses to how WMY played Hashimoto and borrowed a page. Overall, her control of the pace was better this time but there are room for improvement and areas to reflect on.

In the second one, she said she's happy to win, citing the Chinese idiom 事不過三/not a third time.

王艺迪:孙颖莎能力我学不会,她的正手我只能欣赏,更偏向王曼昱 (Wang Yidi: I can't master Sun Yingsha's skills. I can only admire her forehand. I'm more similar to Wang Manyu.)

1) you seem to have trouble with understanding, lets break it down. not everyone delays. and for those that do, extent matters. or to put it in terms easier for ya to digest, some people do x thing small small. others do big big. no same, child.

2) your subjective opinion is that highlighting this isnt appropriate. mine isnt. yet instead of pointing it out in a civil manner so that we can discuss it (which is the point of a forum), you lash out like a petulant child that sees something he doesnt like. child no like comment, child rude. but child also wants the moral high ground. pretty nauseating, as child says.

if civility is too unfamiliar a concept, try saying "i dont think this is appropriate". repeat after me " i dont think this is appropriate". got it? good boy!
That's one hell of a gaslight.

It's not fun when someone calls you out on your behavior, and it wasn't in the most subtle way either. But to imply that you are doing appropriate things is downright ridiculous.

In the SVT interview, Europe Smash 2025 champion Moregard talked about his chronic knee problem (but noted that he hasn't felt the pain recently) after getting owned by WTT Feeder Cappadocia II 2025 champion Uda, stressing that even the doctors can't tell exactly what's wrong and how he doesn't want to have another operation on it.

In another SVT interview, Moregard noted the DHS table at China Smash 2025 had less spin than he expected.

原来小莫打的很烂是因为他的膝盖不舒服啊,我说怎么就突然就掉线了 (It turns out that Little Mo played so badly because his knee was uncomfortable. I was wondering why he suddenly went offline)

怎么回事?莫雷加德 1:3 输给宇田了 (What happened? Moregaard 1-3 Uda)
https://tieba.baidu.com/p/10091149287
Sorry - Truls complained about the knee but said it wasn't the knee that caused him losing. He said Uda played really well! In the first set he was faulted for tossing the ball at an angle larger than 30 degrees. The referee was positioned so she couldn't see the toss. Viewing it from the broadcast it was far from 30 degrees!

My guess is that he was either a little out of balance after his win or time shift problems. Anyhow, the competition at the top level is fierce and small things and different styles affect different opponents.

According to the conversation between WH and QD at WTT CS Macao 2025, it may have to do with his "death grip" that's BH-oriented.
